Allow team members to set leave or vacation dates, and prevent others to assign tasks on those dates? (Submitted via Intercom)

Hello, I saved a template including the dependencies, but when I apply it to another task, the dependencies are lost. Is this a change in the functionality or is it a bug?

Currently, task progress is calculated based on checklists, assigned comments, and subtasks. My request is for progress to also account for dependencies. For example, if I have a task in List A and two tasks in List B, I would set the tasks in List B to block the task in List A. Upon completing the tasks in List B, the progress of the task in List A should be accounted for and advance. I strongly believe this feature would greatly contribute to project/initiative management. Thank you in advance.

Is there any way to write a due date in this way: Due "3 days before XYZ Step"?

From Josef: Remapping subtasks from parent task due date is great. But we also need it the othe way: whenever a subtask is delayed and rescheduled then the parent task due date should be updated according to new due dates for subtasks. Ideally the parent task due date could be auto-updated to max(due date for all subtasks) or due date for the last subtask in a chain of dependencies.

There have been nice updates on due dates, but I'd like to be able to set them and automatically update them by dependency. For example, once Task 1 occurs, Task 2 is due within 48 business hours. So, when I mark Task 1 complete, I'd like the due date on Task 2 to update to 48 business hours later. This allows the template to automatically update.

Expand list of dependencies (blocked by) for a task. With progress. It will be great to view dependencies more or less as subtasks. Sometimes we have big task that is part of the project and must be tracked inside of that project. But that task can be finished only when other tasks in other projects/lists will be finished. We need a way to track how these dependencies are progressing. Simple expanded view for dependencies in list with their status will do the trick nicely. i.e. My big task [closed] Server big feature [in progress] UI integration [in progress] Integration tests etc.

Comment from support: When I change the date of a task to a later date, the dependencies are moved back to a later date too, but when I move the date of the task to an earlier date, the dependencies don't change?

When a parent task is updated, update subtask start dates as well as due dates.
