I would like to add that this feature would be most effective if task rescheduling accounts for dependencies while respecting lead and lag times. For example, if Task 1 is delayed by two days, but the originally planned lag time before Task 2 starts was three days, then Task 2 (and consequently Task 3) should not be impacted. However, if the delay exceeds the predefined lag time, subsequent tasks should be automatically adjusted accordingly to maintain the project timeline integrity.

I second this - it's basic need for project management software. In addition to lead/lag times, we need the ability to set a duration (say 1 week) plus a lead lag time, to have a task be backwards scheduled based on a fixed end date.
