Feature Requests

It would be incredibly helpful to have the ability to create folders within folders, as well as store Docs directly inside folders. As our workspace continues to grow, organizing content at a deeper level becomes increasingly important. Nested folders and folder-level Docs would allow teams to better structure projects, reduce clutter, and make information easier to find, especially when managing multiple clients, initiatives, or long-term workflows. This added flexibility would significantly improve overall organization and scalability within ClickUp.

I'd like to be able to created nested folders. We have folders per team, and I'd like to create subfolders for older work

So that we can better organize projects into categories, it would be beneficial to be able to create folders within folders (sub-folders). You limit the organizational structure by not allowing sub-folder creation.

Currently custom icon can only be changed on space level. I would like to see custom icon can be used on Folder and also if possible on the list. I know there is existing thread of this request and it says completed, however we still cant upload custom icon Folder.

I was able to delete a folder that had a list underneath. But I DID NOT see this because it was not approved for me. In other words, I not only deleted the folder (I thought there wasn't a list below because I hadn't released it), but also this list. There MUST then be a notification that the folder cannot be deleted! Means: Delete folder > Check whether list below yes or no > if no > Delete folder Delete folder > Check whether list below yes or no > if yes AND lists released for me > Ask if really delete > then delete folder Delete folder > Check whether list below yes or no > if yes AND lists NOT approved for me > message “Folder cannot be deleted” This is really important because it means that tasks have disappeared that should NOT have disappeared. Simply because I couldn't see them.

Sometimes we need to adjust the start day or time after the creation of a sprint, which is impossible for now

Many clients like the changing color feature of the CU folders. I am wondering if there can be an API that can be used to change the color. I think it will be cool to partner with the color labels. It is a usable feature.

Currently, the field is rather useless and one of my teammembers wasted a bit of time adding descriptions only to find out they are not shown anywhere and can't be edited.

It would be very helpful if folder colours could be defined at space level rather than workspace level. This would allow for greater customisation, as is possible with statuses.
