Feature Requests

Some users have requested the ability to create a task from a calendar event. eg sometimes i need to create a task for the appointment [booking] as well as the appointment itself.

Add due dates to assigned comments and show them on the calendar and allow closing them off from the calendar view.

Dear ClickUp Team, I hope you are doing well. I am a regular user of ClickUp Mobile App and I truly appreciate the features and productivity support that the platform provides. However, I would like to request a feature enhancement that could significantly improve the user experience, especially for users who schedule daily or time-specific tasks. Feature Request In Google Calendar mobile app, we can long-press a scheduled task and easily drag it up or down to change its time. Additionally, when updating a recurring task, Google Calendar gives two options: Change only this task Change all future tasks Current Issue in ClickUp In the ClickUp mobile app, we are unable to drag and drop tasks to reschedule timing. Also, when adjusting a recurring task, there is no option to modify only a single instance without affecting the entire series. Why This Feature is Needed For example: If I have a recurring task like “Workout at 7:00 AM” every day, but on a particular day I need to do it at 9:00 AM, I cannot change that one instance without changing the entire schedule. This flexibility is extremely important for real-life daily scheduling and time management. Suggestion Please consider adding: Drag & drop feature to move tasks up or down in the mobile schedule view Option to modify only one occurrence of a recurring task or update the entire series This improvement would make ClickUp much more efficient and user-friendly for daily time-based task planning. It would be great to be able to select a month view for the planner/calendar feature and not just 1 day, 4 day and 1 week

Pretty simple requests... 😎 Add ability to publicly share a calendar view Add a calendar dashboard widget For that last one especially, I think this is the missing piece to having a truly functional command center style dashboard. Of course, you can list calendar events in a widget, but an actual calendar view would be so much more useful. 🙏🏻

Our team relies heavily on our Google Calendar to manage multiple schedules and events. We often have overlapping events, and it’s challenging for our leadership and team members to quickly identify who each event belongs to. We'd like to transition to utilizing ClickUp's new calendar! We would greatly benefit from a feature that allows calendar events to be color-coded by team member (or assignee). This would provide a clear visual overview of everyone’s schedule, reduce confusion, and improve our workflow efficiency. We have already synced our ClickUp accounts with Google Calendar, but the event colors do not reflect individual team members in either platform. Having this feature natively in ClickUp would be a significant improvement for teams like ours.

Our agency runs three companies with three separate google workspace domains. We have determined an issue when trying to cross check calendar availability across the teams: Even if a team member has their google calendar connected, if they are members of a different google workspace then their availability will not be visible to members of a different google workspace UNLESS they go into calendar.google.com make their calendar "public" with "show free/busy" inside the settings. It would be helpful if ClickUp did not require users to do this external step and instead offered it as an option inside ClickUp. After all, you already have access to the calendar data! Please add this! In the meantime we will ask each team member to manually update this setting in Google Calendar. Although they probably all won't... So the feature isn't as useful as it could be!

If I have a task that will take 8 hours to allow me to schedule 4 hours for Monday and 4 hours for Tues. (Roel)
