Hello ClickUp Support Team, I am reaching out to request a critical enhancement to the Google Calendar automation functionality. My workflow requires sending calendar invites to both internal team members and external contacts when certain custom fields are assigned to a task. I set up Google Calendar integration and began building automations based on advice from ClickUp Brain, which initially indicated this would be possible by using custom fields for external email addresses in the “Attendees” section of the automation action. However, after investing a considerable amount of time configuring the integration and multiple automations, I discovered that the “Attendees” field only allows selection of ClickUp users (assignees, watchers, etc.), and does not support pulling email addresses from custom fields. This means it is currently not possible to automatically send Google Calendar invites to external email addresses via automation, which is a critical requirement for my team’s workflow. It was quite disappointing to spend so much time setting this up based on ClickUp Brain’s guidance, only to find out that the feature is not currently supported. Request: Please add the ability to use custom field email addresses as attendees in Google Calendar automation actions. This would allow automations to send invites to external contacts automatically, making the workflow much more powerful and efficient. Thank you for considering this request. I believe this enhancement would benefit many users who need to coordinate with people outside their ClickUp workspace. Best regards, Shaun Hawkins
