Feature Requests

It would be great to have the ability to create a custom field name for linked tasks and docs. For example, we are linking the people task type to an event but we want to create a "role" custom field to show who is doing what.

You can create custom fields for numbers and text, but having a field that can be a percentage (%) would be helpful.

The objective is to make a custom field mandatory when a task status is Closed. Many of our developers mark tasks as 'Closed' yet don't put any notes on the task to indicate what was done, where it was done, what was deployed to production, etc. It becomes a guessing game if the developer is out and others have to pick up the slack. I've seen several posts about mandatory fields but haven't found one yet that indicates the ability to make a field mandatory when status is changed to closed. Any thoughts on this or am I missing something. Thanks in advance for your help.

It would be super helpful to have custom field data validation options. For example - I need to collect routing numbers that are exactly 9 digits long, or EIN's that are 9 digits long in a format of XX-XXXXXXX. When someone enters something other than that format it should give them an error message. Excel, and other Task management software have this feature, especially for Form Fields that will be submitted by a number of untrained users. Simply giving them a text field to put in whatever they want gets bad data that constantly has to be cleaned up.

Apologies if this is repeated. I looked and I see similar posts but, but I specifically just want to solve the problem from my screenshot attached. If I could just use the same formula field across multiple lists, I could then roll them up in a report. All I'm trying to do is calculate the hours remaining for a scope across 2 lists which represent projects within that scope and then add them together in a dashboard so I can see total remaining hours easily. The fact that I can't is bonkers.

Sometimes we use custom fields really often, and maybe there are tasks that have a large description, so it makes not so easy to reach a custom field in the bottom of a task (even though it's pinned). It would be truly helpful to be able to place a custom field in the upper-left section, or the header of a task.

We hit the 500-option limit wall for the Label/Dropdown custom field. For a company who gets hundreds of clients over time, this won't do. We want to organize/categorize our data based on either Label/Dropdown custom fields like "Clients/Companies" as these prevent naming inconsistencies when the Text custom field is used, and provide search capability for existing names that we have catered to.

Why this feature? we want this feature because it will show all data to the user and user scroll down the list & user can edit the data anytime, and don't need to enter inside the task list and click inside it everything in just one view simple the workaround of creating a description field is creating data duplication which we don't want so it would be helpful if you create feature to show description in custom field we don't need hover over that small box (there) is problem with box we can't edit of the text written when hover over it or even we double click so that we will be redirect toward custom field

It would be great if we could set default Custom Field values on a per-List basis instead of globally. Globally has been released ( https://feedback.clickup.com/feature-requests/p/set-default-value-for-custom-fields ), but per-List would be great!

Ability to have conditional logic for all custom fields. Es. if custom field X is active, it automatically activates (and displays) field Y avoiding useless custom fields in specific tasks
