I would like to synchronize not only the start or due date, but also a Costum Field (in my case z.B, a viewing), which I have formatted as a calendar, with my Google calendar. I can view it in a “calendar” view, but it won't sync.

Hello, I have started testing. Please add field "Location (Folder name)" working similar like "Location (List name)". We are building a project management HUB where each project is in different subfolder and we would like to be able to see a master calendar where each project is visible and with no need to go deeper you can see which project start when - setup, show, teardown etc.

I just wanted to reiterate something I've seen below – I work within the L&D space and I've built a calendar within clickup which is working perfectly. However, for this to be really effective, it needs to seamlessly pull through to google calendar otherwise external team members will think we have free time. The entire point is to have one source of truth, but with the current 60 day limitation that doesn't work at all!

Ricardo Clerigo is there a reason google calendar event changes are not reflected in clickup task start/end dates/times? Clickup is useful for project management but for fast changes doing them in google calendar is far more natural, like moving a task a few hours or a day. This should then be reflected in clickup.

I have three main points of feedback regarding calendar syncing.

Unreliable Google Calendar sync

Sometimes events are not syncing correctly with Google Calendar. Because of this, I had to connect the calendar via iCal as a workaround. When the Google Calendar sync fails, at least I can still see events through iCal, but this should not be necessary. The same happens with my team and we double check all the settings many times.

No “Sync Everything” option

I don’t understand why there is no single “Sync Everything” button. Instead, you have to enable syncing for each workspace manually.

This becomes a real issue when you are added to a new workspace: the sync is turned off by default, and there are no tips or warnings in the official guides explaining that you need to enable it manually. Maybe I am doing something wrong, but from a user perspective this is very unintuitive.

All-day events are marked as “Busy”

All-day events are marked as Busy, which blocks the entire day in integrations like Clockwise.

In practice, all-day events are often just deadlines or tasks without a fixed time, not something that should block the whole schedule. Because of this, it would make sense to either not sync all-day events at all, or sync only events that have a clear start and end time.

Right now, all-day events being marked as Busy causes more harm than value.

I want to ask a question about the Google Calendar integration and the “show remaining time” feature in ClickUp.

On my team we all have our calendars connected and visible.

I have seen that the “show remaining time” function (top left) is not limited to my main calendar, but sometimes takes events from my partner's calendar. If I deactivate your calendar I lose visibility, but if I leave it activated, the remaining time shows events that are not mine.

I don't know if this behavior is intentional or if it should work only with the user's main calendar. It would be useful to be able to choose which calendar uses that feature to avoid confusion when working with several visible calendars.

This is such a needed improvement! The current Google Calendar integration definitely has limitations. I've been managing multiple calendars for my calendar tools website (https://calendar-vibe.com/), and the sync issues can be frustrating, especially when dealing with recurring events and color-coding. Two-way sync would be a game-changer for teams coordinating across platforms. I'd love to see better handling of event descriptions and attachments too. The ability to create ClickUp tasks directly from calendar events would streamline workflows significantly. Really hoping the ClickUp team prioritizes this - it would make the platform so much more powerful for project management.colour-coding
