Google Calendar V2 Ideas
in progress
Cassiano Campes
I just started using the new integration with Google Calendar.
However, I have noticed that when we set a deadline in a task in ClickUp, the Google calendar shows the deadline in a little bit weird form. The task starts from midnight ending on the deadline of that day.
Would be better if it was 1 hour instead of starting from midnight.
I am attaching the screenshot of what I am talking about, and with the suggestion that could be better for visualizing the deadlines on Google Calendar.
I hope you can understand what I mean.

Hey community - how's your day going?
Ricardo here, I lead the calendar team at ClickUp.
Wanted to let you folks know that we're just about ready to start slowly onboarding some new folks into the new calendar beta. Exciting times!
We've setup a waitlist form, so please join here.
We're prioritising folks and opening new slots each week.
It's early days and this is very much a beta - but from all I can read from your comments below - I have no doubt that with your help we'll make it the best calendar experience out there.

Need to be able to filter tasks that are synced to Google Calender by things other than "assigned to me".
E.g., only ones with certain Tags, certain Custom Fields, etc.

Hi! Any news? Still accepting people for the beta? Seems to be quite a crucial feature...
Samuel Schneider
Ricardo Clerigo so silent right now. An update on this topic would be amazing. Since 24th July on waitlist and nothing happens. Any news?

Samuel Schneider: Rest assured we're hard at work. A few big late changes came in that we're still working on - but we'll be ready to start taking folks off the waiting list soon (weeks, not months).

Change the view of all-day events that span more than one day to the top with the all-day tasks instead of a long event that goes from 12 am one day to the next.

ClickUp's integration with Google Calendar, has become a significant source of frustration for me.
It's very perplexing that the sync functionality automatically directs tasks to my Google Calendar rather than my tasks list which is an integral part of the Google Suites. On all other platforms I've used, tasks sync directly to the dedicated tasks section, allowing me to prioritize and check them off as I complete them. This discrepancy affects my workflow considerably, as my day begins with an organized task list rather than cluttered calendar entries.
Another big issue is that tasks appear as all-day busy events on the calendar. This misleads my scheduling software into marking me as unavailable, creating unnecessary confusion and potential scheduling conflicts.
I have scrolled a number of the feedbacks to see if there is any workaround for the above but haven't found anything. Could you please let me know if there are any discussions or plans to address these issues?

It'd be cool if changes to date/time in Clickup didn't take hours to reflect updates in Google Calendar. I've also noticed that if I change times for tasks in bulk, some of them may never update in GCal.
This runs so slowly and unreliably that I had to create a 3rd party integration to push updates when I change task status.

@Ricardo Clerigo I sign up for the beta. This looks really exiting, will be amazing to join the beta asap :)

Hey Ricardo Clerigo , When to expect this to rollout for us. I have signed up for Beta access (atleast 1-2 months back) but have no access.
Super excited for this

@Ricardo, I can't add my user ID. Commas are being added. Any advice? Thanks!

I don't actually want my deadlines taking up time on my calendar, because that prevents people from being able to book meetings at days/times that I'm actually available... especially if I've accomplished a given task already.
I would however really like events and meetings to show in both Clickup and my google calendar. I find the current integration pretty frustrating.
