Right now, automations are done at the list level. This gives far less control since every task in that last would be subject to that automation. I am suggesting that automations be done at the TASK level so that you can set something for just 1 task.

I'd like to have an automation that is triggered by the time in a status. For example: When task has been in Review status for 5 days, add tag. Another example for user support: When task is In Progress status for 10 days, send email template.

I have many automations (close to 100 automations in every space), and whenever I need to make changes to one of them, it’s quite tricky and inefficient. I have to scroll and search manually through the entire list, which takes a lot of time. It would be very helpful to have a search or filter feature in the automation section. This would make it much easier and faster to find specific automations, especially when managing a large number of them. A search feature would greatly improve the efficiency of managing automations.

Create automations that occur after a set period of time. For example, when a status is changed to xx, change the priority to high after 3 days, hours, etc.

They want to be able to view automations from different spaces, lists, and folders in one place, and to organize and group them based on their triggers or outputs. Additionally, users want the ability to create, edit, duplicate, and remove automations from a single location, apply automations to multiple locations, and track the history and analytics of each automation.

For example, I'd like to use automation to say, if Due Date is 3 days after [Current Date]... but currently all date options are based on a fixed/set date. If I select TODAY right now, it will record today's date, not a future date.

When you send an email to any list, ClickUp create a task and put Creator Email (Sender Email) at top of description task field. We consider very interesting the possibilitie to create an automation with Creator Email if example IT Support department. When The customers send an email to mailbox, the mailbox resend the email to ClickUp. The email arrives to ClickUp and at this point with a pre-set automation created, ClickUp send an email to the Creator Email (customer) informing that we receive their request and we work on this asap.

Please add an automation action that allows tasks to be unlinked or have their relationships removed automatically when a status changes. This would help automate workflows where tasks need to be delinked based on progress or completion.

When sending Slack messages through ClickUp Automations, text formatting such as bold does not carry through. Although I can apply formatting while building the automation, once saved and triggered, the formatting is stripped from the Slack message. By comparison, if I set up a Slack automation directly within Slack (integrated with ClickUp), the formatting is preserved. However, Slack’s native automations offer fewer fields and less flexibility than ClickUp Automations, making them less practical for our workflows. IMPACT: *Limits the readability and clarity of automated Slack messages. *Reduces the usefulness of ClickUp Automations for teams that rely on structured communication as there is a lot of text with no formatting to break it up. *Creates an inconsistency between Slack’s native automation capabilities and ClickUp’s. REQUEST: Enable Slack messages sent via ClickUp Automations to preserve formatting (e.g., bold, italics, lists, etc.) so that messages appear as intended when delivered in Slack. BENEFIT: This enhancement would allow teams to fully leverage ClickUp Automations while still delivering clear, formatted messages in Slack - improving communication, visibility, and adoption.
