Feature Requests

There are no security permissions that can be set to control who can create a task type. We want to limit this to specific roles. We are on the custom field by task type beta and having other users able to create multiple task types can get confusing.

Hello! I'm a system administrator for a company with 120 employees, and I'm hoping to make a feature request. I would really appreciate it if we could have more control over custom permissions for each individual, and the ability to create permissions based on more options. Specifically, I'd like to set permissions for things like creating or copying a list, moving tasks to certain statuses, and restricting access to creating or updating labels. Basically, I want complete control over what each person can create or edit. For example, I'd like to restrict certain people from editing specific custom fields. Currently, the role system is limited, and some members have the same permissions as others, which isn't ideal. Many of my supervisors are members, but I don't want them all to have access to everything. While there are different roles we can create, the options for setting permissions are very limited. It would be great if we could have more flexibility in creating custom permissions for each individual.

I'm an Admin of Business plan. I can't reset a member password, I can't reset 2FA method. The only 2 options I have is: resend invitation cancel invite. This is ridiculous. Why admins have so few options to manage user's accounts?... An admin should have rights to: reset password reset 2FA remove 2FA change user email change user name

I’d like ClickUp to add a “View as Guest/User” mode, similar to Discord’s “View as” feature. As an admin setting up guest access, client workspaces, permissions, private folders, lists, docs, dashboards, and views, I need a safe way to verify exactly what a guest or specific user can see before inviting them. Right now, the workaround is creating fake test accounts with separate emails, which is inefficient and can be confusing. A built-in “View as Guest” or “View as User” preview would help admins audit permissions, prevent accidental exposure, and make client-facing setups much safer. Ideally, admins could select: View as a guest View as a specific user role View as a specific invited user Exit preview mode easily

As an admin, it would be very beneficial to go to a user's profile and see all of the items shared with them. Kind of like the "shared with me" area, but "shared with them" from an admin view. i.e. I have limited members, and sometimes I need to know which items are shared with them to make sure they have the right access.

It would be useful if admins could restrict limited members to view only. Currently, members can give limited members access beyond view only, which incurs a cost. We want to avoid having to monitor limited members and the access that has been given to them by members.

In the Teams section, we have the priority view. As a manager, I should be able to use the UI to change the priorities of my team members. At the moment, I don't have this ability. I can only change my own priorities.

From support ticket: Is there a way for me to claim ownership of folders where we had someone help out by setting them all to private with specific sharing permission. (I'm already a full member on the folders)

We would like to be able to organize our view-only member in teams. Currently, when assigning a team, the member will be converted to a limited member thus taking up a whole seat.
