From support ticket: Is there a way for me to claim ownership of folders where we had someone help out by setting them all to private with specific sharing permission. (I'm already a full member on the folders)

I support this request and would like to add my vote. I work for several non-profits, and as leadership changes, my services may be shifted to a volunteer or board member. As I track many moving parts, I'd like an easy way to provide my documentation to the next person. It would be nice to transfer ownership of certain Folders and/or spaces to someone outside my ClickUp team. It would fully relinquish my ownership of the data (folders, tasks, etc.) and templates used for that client in ClickUp.

There is also a glitch to this that I hope gets fixed ASAP: If another user within your workspace creates a list, leaves your org/workspace, ownership of the list DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY GO BACK TO THE WORKSPACE OWNER. I now have a VA who has ownership to my Master SOP list despite just joining the workspace. 🫠 (I suspect what happens if when the list loses it's owner, it goes to the next person in line, which was this VA).

Yes please! As an admin of ClickUp, I often create folders and lists for my sales reps. I'd like the ability to transfer ownership of the folder and lists I create, so that, I do not get all the email notification of tasks.

I would also like to have this feature available asap. As an admin for ClickUp inside our department, I often help out teams to set up workflows in ClickUp. Downside: I am always a part of every document.

This would be VERY helpful!!! I want my team to be able to create lists for me but I can't risk my team members being the owners of lists that have all of our information for our projects and clients. Not having the ability to transfer ownership of lists is SUPER frustrating for business owners!!!

Ownership of several folders and lists were somehow transferred to guests that were added AFTER the folder or list was created and now can't be changed. How is this possible? Is there another thread or solution to this? Or is this a feature not yet available?
