I just transferred ownership from my work email to my personal email for my personal workspace. It was tied to the work ClickUp workspace on that work email, and I wanted to separate them.

I added a new user with my personal email address, gave it full control, and then deleted the initial user with my work email. Everything went well until... Disaster! My docs didn't survive, I thought.

I wrote to support, and they found them shared as "private" because this is how they were created by the first user. So they weren't deleted or lost, but were assigned as private to a user that didn't exist anymore.

To the ClickUp product team: please add the option, when transferring ownership, to include also Docs. It was the biggest scare I had this month. I had others in the past months, but not related to ClickUp. 😂😂😂😂

we had some responsability shifts in our company, and now it is not possible to remove specific persons from the Lists, cause they have been the creator. On some lists this is critical cause informations there shoud be confidental and only allowed for specific People

Critical feature - should definitely be added!

Absolutely critical feature - for larger teams with more complex processes, there will be someone else setting up specific lists and then transferring the ownership. Without this feature it is not possible

I’d like to upvote this feature request. The ability to transfer ownership of Folders and Lists is crucial for our team’s and client's workflow, especially when responsibilities shift due to role changes, team restructuring, or offboarding. Without this feature, we face challenges in maintaining proper access control and accountability, which can lead to confusion and delays in project management.

Additionally, it would be highly beneficial if this transfer of ownership capability could be extended to Docs as well. This would ensure that all key assets within ClickUp can be properly managed and reassigned as needed, supporting seamless transitions and better organizational continuity.

This seems like a no-brainer. I have been looking and was astonished that this could not be done. Seems like a fundamental setting that is overlooked.

Essential for implementing least privilege concept subsequently without having to recreate every folder or list
