Problem: Custom fields can become messy when you have different types of work (tasks) within the same lists. For example, having a bug, feature, and an epic task all in the same list would cause them all to have the same custom fields, even though I would want specific ones for each type. Other issues arise when fields that should only belong to the top-level task spread down to all its subtasks. Ask: Custom fields should have the option to be added to a custom task type itself. Whenever I create a new task of that type, it will come along with all its custom fields. Those fields will not spread to any task that is not of that type.

The ability to set what types of activity are shown, whose activity & the text filter then save all of it. Saving should have the option to apply for only that task, or for all tasks in the List/Folder/Space. In the Relationship tab in a Task, can we please show which direction the relationship is - so is the link from this task to another task or from another task to this task or both ways. It would be great to be able to have that one way relationship

Hello ClickUp Support Team, I’d like to recommend bringing back the print feature that allowed users to print tasks without the header information. In previous versions, there was a print icon below the task title that enabled printing just the task content, which was very useful for clean documentation and sharing. With the recent update, this option seems to have been removed, and the current print function includes the header and metadata, which is not always needed. Restoring the ability to print tasks without the header would greatly improve usability for those of us who need clean, content-only printouts. Thank you for considering this suggestion! With the new filter inside tasks it would be amazing to be able to set default options to only save specific filters while inside tasks. For instance default to only see comments or attachments.

It would be great to be able to save the filters we apply to comments in tasks, subtasks, etc at a personal level. I would imagine that some people may not have a particularly need to see all of the activity that occurs within a task (e.g. management/executives) and perhaps only need to see the conversations that occur. While we can filter out this additional noise we cannot save that filter so that it will be a default for our view on all future comments within tasks, subtasks, etc. Having the ability to do so would help reduce the work we have to do to work on work. 🥳

It is about a limitation related to the new subtask list displayed on the left side of the task view, introduced recently in ClickUp 4.0. First of all, this is a very useful feature. Being able to see the full task–subtask structure while working inside a subtask significantly improves orientation and navigation within complex tasks. However, there is an important limitation: In the left-side subtask list (task structure panel), it is not possible to change the order of subtasks. To reorder subtasks, the user must navigate back to the parent task and adjust the order there. This breaks the workflow, especially when working deeply inside subtasks and managing task structure iteratively. From a usability standpoint, enabling subtask reordering directly in this view would make task hierarchy management much more efficient, especially for large, multi-level task structures.

It would be great if in the Task View we could have the ability to customize (globally) the columns that we see next to each task. By default it is Assignees, Priority, and Due Date, with an option to manually add in columns, but that doesn't translate globally. I think a separate global setting for this would be a great addition as a lot of us are looking at start date and due date, not just due date.

in List view Please make it possible to sort Subtask when expanded under Task inside a Task Add more sorting option for Subtask, eg: Start date, Custom field, etc. also: what is the Manual ? it seems like its just a meaningless random sorting
