Feature Requests

So I received the forced update from 3.0 to 4.0 -- and all of my bookmarked "favorite" items have completely destroyed the system, I had to go back and rename everything as my favorite "nicknames" overrode the original names. Now I realize in 4.0 you cannot rename a favorite without renaming the entire item for everyone. Can we please add this back from 3.0 into the new 4.0 version? Not sure the category, as "favorites" is not listed, so hopefully sidebar puts me in the right place. Thanks!

Allow the option to change folder icons. I understand that enabling this feature could lead to confusion between folders, lists, and spaces. To mitigate this, it would be necessary to develop a way to allow icon customization for these three elements while ensuring that users can still easily distinguish between a space, a list, and a folder in the sidebar at a glance. The last sidebar navigation was pretty good, effective yet simple... This new way is far to complicated and cluttered for most people to understand especially new users that I'm trying to onboard and get comfortable with this app. I like that Clickup is always trying to innovate but sometimes these drastic changes just make the app less intuitive and harder to use. Please consider changing it back!!! 🙏😫

Quite often the left side tasks are out of sync. They've often refreshed only when I clicked on them, viewing them. There was also a case it was a deleted task, and only after opening it I got a notification it was deleted, and the whole screen refreshed, and the item was removed. (Perhaps instead it could've had a deleted status color, and/or have been crossed out, maybe?) Also, occasionally I leave a list open, and find it is out of sync. I've added an empty list shortcut, to go to and return from, to refresh the list, as a workaround. [Also, after typing most of this up, I clicked Create Post, and I was redirected to log in. Then, after all that, all that I've typed was deleted...]

Ability to add colors to sections, especially sidebar for "Home" for example. so hard to find the categories of Direct Messages, Spaces etc when its small text in light grey on white background. Impossible to get clarify and find stuff. just feels messy overall on the site tbh. if you have this much stuff and functions, stuff needs to be color coded and maybe like bold titles etc. it feels like reading an essay or an article where there is no paragraphs, no titles, all just one big text...

Allow the user to drag & drop a Doc, Whiteboard, or other non-hierarchical object (ie, not a List, Folder, or Space) from the sidebar to the toolbar of the active List, Folder, or Space to move it there. Currently, for the user to move a non-hierarchical object from the sidebar to a "View", the user must click: > (Row/Object) Settings > Move To > List, Folder, or Space (as view) > (Select a List, Folder, or Space) This is especially tedious after importing a large number of documents, such as from a Confluence workspace.

add back feature to pin favorites to the top menu in 4.0

I suggest a layout that allows users to set the Spaces in alphabetically order

When I click on a list, I often will click on the List Icon. Instead of pulling up the list, this opens the option to edit the list icon. Could editing the list icon be put in the settings and not react this way? TY!
