We are implementing ClickUp to reduce manual work for employees and simplify daily operations. Currently, when users sign in using Microsoft Entra ID SSO, their name and profile photo do not sync automatically into ClickUp. Employees must manually update their profiles or respond to repeated follow ups from admins. Even in our 80 user pilot, this has already created confusion and extra work for employees. As we scale to 1000+ employees, expecting people to manage profile details across tools is frustrating and not sustainable. What we need is automatic syncing of user profile details from Microsoft Entra ID into ClickUp using SCIM. This should include first name, last name, email, and profile photo. The sync should happen during account creation and whenever details change in Microsoft, without any action required from employees. This matters because employees expect tools to work correctly once they log in. Manual profile updates interrupt their work, create inconsistencies, and reduce trust in the system. Managing identity in one place should be enough. This feature would significantly improve employee experience and remove a blocker for large scale adoption.

This is a basic feature but would help a ton! There is a need to be able to assign a team to specific tasks and then be able to distribute the work among the team members in the team. This would make it easy to see what team is working on what, without knowing the exact team members of another team and also would help create a tool to hide the real assignee for guest or limited members so they dont have a direct insight into how the work is done. Currently, when only avatars or initials are shown, it becomes tricky to identify team members, especially in larger workspaces where initials may overlap. Why this matters: ✅ Improves clarity and task accountability 🔍 Reduces confusion with similar-looking initials 💼 Crucial for printed reports or screenshots 👥 Enhances visibility when managing tasks across teams A simple toggle to “show full names” or auto-expanding the column would go a long way for transparency and usability. Prompt the owner of a Workspace with a warning before they're charged for adding a new member.

Currently, when a member of management is added to a team in ClickUp, every team member can see the workload and tasks assigned to that manager. I would like the option for management to have visibility into team activities, but for their own workload and tasks to remain private from the rest of the team. In other words, please add a way for managers or leadership to be part of a team for oversight purposes, without exposing their personal workload or sensitive tasks to all team members. This would help protect confidential work and maintain privacy for leadership, while still allowing them to monitor and support their teams. Thank you!

It would be very useful to have a Clients module/section, where we can record: The name and address of the organisation The primary point of contact in that organisation (name, phone, email) And then link the Client to relevant Projects.

It would be helpful to access: Total time spent in ClickUp per user Breakdowns of where that time is spent (folders, lists, tasks, dashboards) Aggregate usage statistics for the entire workspace Ability to filter or export this data for internal reporting or adoption analysis This type of visibility would make it much easier to understand how our team is engaging with the platform, identify adoption opportunities, and measure the impact of our processes and training over time.

Just like in Slack, it'd be great if I could have my status and notifications adjust automatically based on whether or not I'm in a meeting.

Hi ClickUp Team, I'd love to request a feature that would be incredibly helpful for cost tracking and project budgeting within ClickUp. 🎯 The Problem: Currently, there's no built-in way to associate an hourly rate with individual team members and then automatically calculate task costs based on time tracked or manually logged hours. This gap creates friction when trying to manage budgets and track actual costs in real-time across tasks and projects. 💡 Proposed Solution: Hourly Rate Field per User: Add a new field where Workspace admins can assign an hourly rate to each team member. This can be either a global setting or project-specific override. Cost Calculation Functionality: Enable an automatic cost computation based on the hourly rate and time tracked (via ClickUp’s time tracking feature). Alternatively, allow this cost to also be computed when someone manually enters the number of hours in a field (e.g., a custom "Time Spent" field). Dynamic Cost Field: Introduce a new computed custom field called “Cost” (or allow a formula field) that multiplies the user’s hourly rate by their tracked or entered time. This field should update automatically based on changes to time or rate. 📊 Use Case Example: Jane has an hourly rate of $50. She logs 3 hours on Task A using the time tracker. The system automatically records a cost of $150 for that task. If she instead enters “3” into a “Manual Hours” field, the same cost gets computed dynamically. ✅ Benefits: Helps teams stay on top of project budgets. Useful for internal cost tracking, client billing, and reporting. Reduces the need for external spreadsheets or manual calculations. Each time a new Team is created in the backend settings area, it gets added to the bottom of the list. There is also no way to search other than the native browser search functionality. It would be easier to find teams and reduce duplication if the teams could be alphabetized and a search bar was added to the page.
