Can the default notification settings be controlled by an administrator? The current default settings for a user, are to broad for our goal. If the user upon initial start of use, gets too many notifications, they will just go into the settings, and have the urge to turn all off. (Or they use a mail rule, to turn them over to an bulk folder) Please make it so we can set a different standard per Team

I'd like an Inbox display option to show the task ID, including custom task IDs, beside each task's title. I should be able to identify tasks while scanning notifications without opening each one. Custom IDs matter here because they are how my team refers to tickets with each other and in our tooling (branch names, commit messages, scripts). A notification that shows only the title forces me to open the task to learn which ticket it is.

Is there any way of replying to comments (or any updates/activity) from within the inbox without having to go to the task activity pane itself? Currently, it seems the only way right now is to either: Navigate to the task by clicking on it on the top left, then interacting/replying to a comment. Click on "Details" on the top right, then Activity, then commenting. There should be a comment input field at the bottom of the task notification view within the inbox to minimize clicking.

When multiple people receive an automatic ClickUp email notification, each recipient only sees themselves. We need to see who else received that same update so we know who is included in the conversation. Please add a workspace-wide admin setting that displays the recipients of each notification in the email, either in To/CC or a clearly labeled “Also notified” section. This should show who was actually sent that specific email, not simply everyone assigned to or following the task, since notification preferences differ. The goal is shared visibility: knowing who has been included without asking teammates or sending duplicate updates.

The new inbox doesn't show the parent task name on the main view (important/other) when a notification is for a subtask. (Old notifications did.) You can get to it by clicking into the notification, but it would be preferred to have that at-a-glance insight. We often put the client name on the parent task and don't put it on the subtasks to avoid redundancy. (Also because of template limitations.) So a person can be assigned several tasks named the same thing. It would be really nice to be able to see parent task name in the main view.

It would be great to get some more filter options, to only see Activity and Messages from certain areas or Tasks. E.g., Location filter, or a filter by notifications where the Task has a certain Custom Field.

I would like a way to mark all or certain notifications as read or unread.

After every SyncUp, the AI Notes summary is posted as a thread reply and the notes Doc is shared to my Inbox, so the chat and Inbox both go unread. I want the notes but not as a notification right after the call. Please add a setting (per user or per channel/DM) to post AI Notes silently / auto-mark them read, or exclude "SyncUp Notes shared with you" from the Primary Inbox.

I'm delighted you all love Brain. I don't need it. I don't want it. And your constant pop-ups are annoying, distracting, and unwelcome. Allow users to turn the damn things off please. That way you can push your AI on customers all you want, but if a customer doesn't want it they can avoid them. After all, we pay you for access to ClickUp features. We don't pay you to push unwelcome product promotions.

I asked ClickUp Brain to prefix 7,681 subtask titles. We stopped before applying anything because Brain couldn’t guarantee that follower notifications would be suppressed. The Bulk Action Toolbar offers a “Send notifications” checkbox, but Brain’s bulk-edit controls don’t expose an equivalent. Potentially generating thousands of task-rename notifications for routine housekeeping is a deal breaker. I don’t want to drown my team in low-value notifications on a Monday morning. Please give Brain bulk actions an explicit, verifiable “Send notifications: off” option, show that setting in the approval preview, and honor it across every batch. Until that’s available, this workflow isn’t usable.
