Be able to add comments from the inbox or activity view without clicking into task.

My client is missing the option to do a quick reply to comments directly from his Inbox preview.

This was possible in 2.0 but the new Inbox requires them to open the notification first.

In ClickUp 2.0, it was possible to respond to comments directly from the Notifications (now called Inbox) page without having to open the specific task. This functionality seems to have been removed in ClickUp 3.0.

Our team found this feature extremely useful and would greatly appreciate its reinstatement. During the initial launch of ClickUp 3.0, there was an option to retain the Notifications/Inbox in the 2.0 mode, but this no longer appears to be available.

Here are a few arguments in favor of reinstating this feature:

Efficiency in communication: Allowing direct responses to comments from the Inbox page streamlines communication. It saves time by reducing the number of clicks and page navigations required to respond to a comment, thus enhancing overall productivity.

Improved user experience: The ability to reply directly from Inbox enhances the user experience by making the process more intuitive and less cumbersome. This feature aligns with the user-friendly design principles that ClickUp is known for.

Enhanced task management: By enabling direct replies in Inbox, team members can address queries or provide updates swiftly, leading to more efficient task management and quicker resolution of issues.

I and we hope ClickUp will consider our request to bring back this valuable feature.

I'd like to be able to add new comments on a task or item without leaving the Inbox, reducing clicks.

The workflow desired:

See message in inbox -> click message -> Click an empty text field to respond (not reply to an existing comment) -> Press escape to go back to inbox

Current workflow:

See message in inbox -> click message -> Click item name -> Click empty text field on the right to comment (under Activity) -> Click Inbox (pressing escape does not return me to inbox)

This is a massive issue that nobody is talking about!

I see that you guys are trying to compete with @slack and other communication tools. Still, right now you have the chat feature and the inbox view, and we need to be able to reply in a ticket from the inbox view or have a latest comment section so we can quickly respond to assignees without clicking into the ticket.

Right now, the main feature is Clear (E) on keyboard, but you should be able to react and comment on comments in the ticket.

It has too many clicks to get a response!
