I live in the inbox, because this is my place to see everything that is moving that is relevant to me. But I don't like that it is not connected to the actual task. In this regard an old style forum or slack is much easier to grasp. It just shows all unread/unseen activity. In my imagination, Inbox would be renamed to 'unread'. When clicking on an item, it takes me to the actual task, doc etc at the exact place where I left off. For tasks this will already show me all changes in the activity. For docs, not currently. So if I have hopened a task, it will remove it from 'Unread'. If I am just going to the task, it will also move it from 'Unread'. Just like any old style forum or Slack. Reason: If I have visited tasks, my Inbox is still cluttered. If I am looking in the inbox, I'm missing my own messages, so it is sometimes giving a strange conversation feeling. (I understand why this happens from a notifications point of view) Chat is now also in the inbox, which feels even worse. In the new UI chat doesn't really have an icon anymore, so you can't quickly see any unread activity in Chat. So for me this is going in the opposite direction of what I prefer. Alternative solution: Make a 'Unread' tile that can live in my 'My tasks' dashboard and I can live without the Inbox :)
