The Gantt view doesn't take the aggregated time estimation of the subtasks. I'd like to work on a clean representation, hidding subtasks (but even wuthout doing that), dragging my 1000H taks just put it in 1day slot. I'd hope the full perdiod can be represented, from the starting date I'm putting and consedering the estimation time, the expected day the task will end.

Track actual completion vs planned in gantt view.

It would be great if tasks could be grouped (and collapsed) in a Gantt view the way they can be in a list view. This would be particularly useful for custom fields. For example if you have a custom dropdown field for region, period, customer, product, program, etc. it would be great to be able to see all tasks with each dropdown field value grouped together.

Adding the week numbers would be a tremendous help as in Europe a lot of business appointments and due dates are oriented around them.

I manage work with high complexity, which means our backlog has many items. Some of my stakeholders only want to see a high-level milestone-based gantt. It would be nice if I can filter in the gantt chart view by task type to create a milestone-based high level view.

Nice to have features for the future of the ClickUp Gantt Chart

i understand that using clickup parent tasks to serve as ms project-style summary tasks was a easy workaround. however, it's time to acknowledge this limitation in clickup and create true summary tasks. in ms project, the summary task serves a specialized role as a rollup container for the tasks organized under it. the parent tasks in clickup are simply other tasks and that cannot serve that specialized role. just because it looks like a duck and perhaps quacks like a duck doesn't make it a duck.

We have "project" task types in our Space, and it would be so convenient and efficient to generate a Gantt straight from the task view. You would open the top-level parent task, hit "generate Gantt", and it would create a Gantt view named after that task. It avoids clicking around to create a view, choose Gantt, name it, filter your task, save it, etc. The generated Gantt could automatically be made private to begin with.

It would be nice to be able to edit the settings as pageformat, timerange etc. when exporting a Gantt-chart as PDF.
