Make comment private and share only with selected people.

When I leave a comment on a task, especially when I mention someone, there’s no way to know if they actually saw it. I can tag a user or know they’re subscribed or assigned, but I have no visibility if they opened the task, saw the comment, or if it’s still unread. This creates a lot of unnecessary follow-ups like “did you see my message?” or forces repeating the same update in other places. ClickUp should show a simple indicator on the comment itself, such as “Seen by X” or “Seen by all mentioned users,” or even a small read receipt. This should be tracked per user, not globally. Front.com does this very well, and ClickUp could implement it even better at the task and comment level. Tasks in ClickUp are used as conversations, not just to-do items, and knowing whether someone actually saw a comment would remove a lot of guesswork and friction. This feels like a small UI change with a big impact on communication clarity.

We need a workspace-level report/card that shows, for each team member, how many assigned comments they currently have unresolved, regardless of whether the comment is on their own task or someone else’s task. Current limitation: At the moment, users can only see their own assigned comments in Home / Assigned Comments. There is no centralized view for managers or workspace owners to see assigned comment counts for other users, nor a per-user summary. Expected behavior: A list of users with a counter of Unresolved Assigned Comments. Clicking the counter opens a detailed view with the related comments and tasks. Filters: Workspace / Space / Folder / List, date range (optional), priority (optional), team/group (optional). Permissions respected (only show comments the viewer has access to). Optional metrics: overdue assigned comments, aging, trend over time. Use cases: Workload and follow-up visibility for managers, leads, and support teams. Identifying bottlenecks caused by unresolved assigned comments. Prioritization and accountability for reviews and approvals. Acceptance criteria: I can select a scope (workspace or subset) and see unresolved assigned comment counts per user. I can drill down to the underlying comments and tasks. Counts update near real time and respect permissions. Impact: Eliminates manual tracking and the need for external integrations or API-heavy workarounds to understand assigned comment workload across the team.

When disabling the clickApp for threaded comments all the current comments are removed! This means there is no way back anymore and we really want to disable the feature. It should still show the current comments but disable the option to make new!

It's so easy to miss the threaded reply as it's currently collapsed by default... could there be an option to keep them expanded? Thanks!

Other project management software tools that I have used have been really good (and smart) at linking tasks when a task ID is pasted in as a comment. Right now in ClickUp when an ID is pasted in it is just text. It would be really convenient if when an ID is copied in that it would link to that task automatically. It's a small nuisance to have to copy the link to a task or to copy the ID and look it up in the relationship field. It would be nicer if you could just copy the ID, paste it in and have the relationship link automatically added for you. A bonus would be if this functionality existed across ClickUp (docs, channels, chats, etc.).

We need the API to support creating comments with embedded images. Uploading attachments works, but automated workflows cannot insert photos directly into comments like the UI does.

Create a way to export a task list with the included comments.
