Microsoft Teams has a feature where it shows a purple eye icon if all parties in the chat read the message. It shows a circle with a purple checkmark if the message was successfully delivered to all parties in the chat as well.
We have been trying to ask our organization to try to use ClickUp Chat instead of Teams (or organizations current default chat software). We have learned that a lot of people aren't using the Chat function in ClickUp because it lacks features that Teams has that our teams rely on. This is one of the big ones that came up.
Please consider adding this feature to your chats.

I would like to suggest implementing a “Read by” feature in individual and group chats. This feature would allow you to see who has read the messages, similar to the feature available in Microsoft Teams.

The functionality would be especially valuable for companies that use ClickUp as their main communication and project management platform. I hope you will consider this suggestion, as it would help to make ClickUp even more complete and competitive in the market.

Please add read receipts to Chat messages (similar to iMessage, Teams, or RCS Messaging with read markers enabled).
Chat is replacing email for a lot of internal coordination, and read receipts are the single biggest signal that separates "acknowledged" from "floating in the void." Without them, Chat feels less reliable than other tools my team already uses, which pushes conversations back out of ClickUp.
