Track time by dragging out blocks of time on a calendar view or even by copying events from your calendar over to your "timesheet". Toggl has an incredible experience for this exact thing. It makes tracking time for people who are on meetings or use time-blocking techniques very easy.

There needs to be way in the TimeSheets feature to filter a users time by client (Project/List). My engineers are on multiple projects and we invoice monthly. It should also be able tofilter by moth instead of only by week.

We use contractors for that we pay hourly and would like to disable the ability for a user to manually add time. Currently Everhour does this for us but we're looking to use Clickup instead. At the very least, having manual time vs time tracked visible in reporting would be useful. Both of these seem like relatively simple fixes.

We are using ClickUp as the primary project management tool for our agency. Currently, we are facing significant technical issues regarding our time tracking data and reporting. We require assistance with the following: 2025 Annual Report: We need to generate a summary showing the total hours logged by each employee for the entire year of 2025. Could you please guide us on how to retrieve this data accurately? "Activity" Feed Errors: We frequently try to monitor daily activities for the past 7 days. However, we constantly encounter error messages Internal Servere Error). The query fails about 9 out of 10 times. This situation is unacceptable for our workflow, as we rely on a consistent and up-to-date overview of our team's daily time tracking and activities. Could you please clarify why these errors are occurring and provide us with a reliable way to access both the daily activity logs and the annual summary without interruptions? It would be useful to be able to set the a default Billable/Non-Billable setting on a List basis. So you can default everything in a particular List (and even Space and Folder) to Billable or Non-Billable.

Our team has built custom budgeting and forecasting dashboards using CSV exports and Google Looker Studio. While this provides some visibility, there’s still a significant amount of manual work involved—particularly in updating data, aligning forecasts with timelines, and tracking real-time budget vs. actuals across projects. We’d love to see native budgeting and forecasting tools within ClickUp, ideally integrated with time tracking, custom fields, and dashboards. Key Pain Points: Manual updates to budgeting spreadsheets. No way to easily forecast based on past project data or time estimates. No integration between project timelines, time tracked, and actual financial cost. Difficult to create a centralized, live dashboard showing financial progress per project or client. This would streamline agency operations massively—removing the need to build and maintain external tools—and make ClickUp a more powerful source of truth for project profitability. If the time tracked clock and number could turn another color when it's currently being tracked in the list/board view, it would help more quickly determine which task is being tracked.

The ability to show the total time spent on all tasks within a summary task as time tracked to the summary task. This was a user could assign X amount of hours to a summary task, then track this to subtasks. The subtasks could have 0 hours expected and the summary task would have all the expected time that one would work on the project in the week. This would allow a simplified way to predict time spent on various projects, without having to shift all the predicted time to be spent on individual tasks. It would be useful for someone that who knows generally how long they will spend each week on certain projects, and knows that many of their subtasks will be assigned within 1-2 days that they are due.

I love Clickup, but really miss the time-tacking calendar view in JIRA Tempo where you can add timetracking on a calendar, and also move tracked items around, click and drag to change a duration, and quickly duplicate them. It makes time tracking so much easier. I would absoluitely love Clickup to intergate this!

I cannot imagine that anyone is able to use time tracking in Clickup seriously. If you earn money by selling your time this feature is just way too weak. I see two options: Complete new implementation to make it useful and not just a gimmick. Real integration with all sorts of time trackers, which do the job nicely. For me it's the biggest pain with Clickup. I like to use the estimate, I track my time in Clockify so that I have a reliable source for billing my customers but I am missing the link between estimate and tracked. There are endless missing features so that I do not really know where to start. I try to list a few, please feel free to complete the list: No export No calendar no reliable reporting (empty dashboards) no real exports complex and confusing UI no way to validate missing time … The "Integartion" with clockify is not really an integration. It's not syncing at all. So I built my own sync script to try to keep things in sync. But I am not willing to spend more time into this.
