Feature Requests

I shouldn't have to create a task, apply a template, edit the task, then save the template. I should be able to edit the template directly in the template centre, then close the template centre when finished.

From Support: It would be nice if edits to our Views applied to previous versions. This would prevent us from needing to update hundreds of Templates manually in a larger organization.

It would be nice to be able to load templates to multiple tasks at once. I would like to be able to select all tasks I want to apply the template to and load the template to them quickly.

Ability to save forms as templates at the space level so that we can simplify and streamline the process of requesting communications materials for internal staff. We primarily use ClickUp to manage all internal comms requests so, while I appreciate the new forms feature, I think relying on each member of the staff to create a form correctly is a bit too ambitious. But I don't want to be tasked with creating several different forms and then emailing them the link because I often don't know what they're working on and what their needs are until they've created a prioject/list in ClickUp using a saved template.

Subject: UI Bug/Inconsistency: Checklist Templates Missing from Template Center View Description: I am experiencing a critical visibility issue regarding Checklist Templates. While Task, List, and Folder templates appear in the "Template Center" gallery under "Created by Me," Checklist Templates do not appear there at all, even when all filters (Space, Folder, List, Task, etc.) are selected. Steps to Reproduce: Create a Checklist within a task and select "Save as Template." Open the Template Center (Avatar -> Template Center -> Browse Templates). Filter by "Created by Me." Observe that the Checklist Template is missing from the gallery, making it impossible to manage or delete duplicates globally. Expected Result: Checklist Templates should have their own "Template Type" filter in the sidebar and appear as manageable cards in the Template Center alongside Task and List templates. Actual Result: Checklist Templates are "ghosted" from the main Library and can only be managed via a hidden "hover" menu inside an active task, leading to significant confusion and duplicate data. Requested Fix: Add "Checklist" as a visible Template Type in the Template Center sidebar so users can audit, rename, and delete them without needing to be inside an active task.

I’d love to see a feature in ClickUp that allows users to create a roadmap-style page, similar to ClickUp’s own public roadmap ( https://feedback.clickup.com ). I can see this feature enabling teams to share their projects, statuses and updates with people in a very readable way. AI has helped me sum up the advantages of this: Public Accessibility: A shareable link that allows anyone to view the roadmap (Even if it wasn't public it would still be very helpful) Upvoting: Upvote projects or ideas, providing fast feedback without needing to fill out a form. Project Visibility: A clear, organized view of all projects, categorized by statuses like "Planned," "In Progress," and "Completed." Custom Branding: The ability to customize the page name, branding, and design to align with the organization’s identity. Use Cases: Transparency: Share progress and priorities with customers, colleagues, or the public. Feedback: Collect votes to prioritize projects based on user demand. This feature would not only enhance user workflows but also serve as a powerful demonstration of ClickUp’s own commitment to productivity and collaboration. By enabling users to replicate ClickUp’s public roadmap, it showcases ClickUp’s passion for its product and builds trust with its user base. It also provides a competitive edge by offering a unique, interactive way to engage with stakeholders. Suggestions to Fast-Track: Highlight the alignment with ClickUp’s mission to save users one day a week. Emphasize the feature’s potential to attract new users and retain existing ones by showcasing transparency and engagement. Point out how this feature demonstrates ClickUp’s confidence in its own platform by using it internally and allowing users to do the same. It would be helpful to be able to set Default View Templates for a Workspace. These would then be implemented in the Everything views.

Notion.so has as awesome way of displaying/tracking meeting agendas and notes... and if this was in ClickUp, boy would it be amazing! You could even create action items during the meeting that are attached to the meeting + then added to the relevant projects, lists, etc.
