Feature Requests

Thank you for v2. So many improvements to an already great app :) I would like to request that you please consider adding latex (math typesetting) to docs (and comments?). Maybe via https://www.mathjax.org/ or other (dropbox have a nice implementation as well in their new "Dropbox Paper"). Ideally, this could be a setting to be enabled per user so that text surrounded with '$' (or '$$' for an equation line) will be rendered by the math engine (i.e. mathjax). Thank you!

It looks like tables in docs have been slightly improved - https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/improve-tables-in-docs-big-time . However, still big improvements are needed: * Background color * Header formatting * More column width control * Cell merging * Center align tables * They still look ugly * ... I could go on and on At the very least implement something like Typora has - more control, more formatting options and rendering is quite good for markdown tables.

Synced blocks enclose any section of text/images/etc. that can then be copied elsewhere and can be edited in multiple locations and it updates everywhere. For example, if I write out a goal that I want to keep in front of me, I can add it to all relevant docs and task descriptions and if I make changes to it, it'll update everywhere else as well.

We are considering having our entire documentation on Clickup. But currently I am a not confident about the restoration ability of the docs. The export functionality does not include the docs in them. Also it's very easy to delete docs by accident with no way of getting it back. If you could please create some safe backup options for the docs, for example exporting the entire docs into markdown as a backup, that would be a huge help towards us moving our entire company's documentation into Clickup.

Markdown is not sugar over a mystery backend format. All text needs to be all genuinely markdown all the way. If I paste markdown from Github or wherever it should work (to the extent the markdown flavor matches). If I select text in ClickUp and paste in Github or Slack it should show up as markdown, not flat text with formatting stripped.

A Visual hierarchy aid for documents / wiki creation. Allowing use of drag and drop relocation. Hierarchy base points could be changed via selection (space, task, folder) - other documents placed under that would take the root location.

I'd like to see more love for documents. Things like: ability to embed any CU entity into docs ability to build books/playbooks / etc from a table of contents that would pull information from documents based in multiple workspaces, folders, and lists outlining ability to convert OPML, plain text and mindmap files into outlines topics (with topic definition area) + colored topics categories (with category definition area) + colored categories tags (with tag definition area) + colored tags keywords & register of keywords dynamically cross-linked documents ability to create a visual network of documents via graph database based on tags or topics or categories floating windows for previewing any number of topics and or docs - i.e. while I am writing a document I'd like to see the outline of the playbook I am writing in a floating window so that I have the visual orientation of where the current document fits in a larger picture have linked entities (docs, tasks, goals) opened in a side window named blocks of text ability to lock all documents that reference a certain topic, category or tag(s) compare 2 revisions of a document side by side analysis based on topics, categories, tags tree views based on topics, categories, tags

Having the same pages or subpages included in multiple documents as pages, subpages, or snippets. This would allow you to have a single source of truth for a document and have it directly accessible in multiple documents. Use case: I have a sprint folder where for each sprint I create a document with certain information and notes etc. I want to add these docs as subpages or snippets in a "master" document, e.g. on the folder level or even in a different space.

I'd love docs to have custom fields (like meta data) or for tasks to have a way to look like docs to be similar to Notion.
