Custom field for docs (like Notion)
Dean Phillips
I'd love docs to have custom fields (like meta data) or for tasks to have a way to look like docs to be similar to Notion.

This would be very handy, for example to have a user manual template, in which we can insert the user's data

Yes, merging data from tasks into Docs would unlock endless possibilities. I want to collect data using the Form view, store that data in a Table view, and then generate a custom certificate from a Doc.

It would be great, to use in templates that we prepare for clients

There has been no mention of this on 3.0 has there?

Please clickup's team, do this! I need this resource to auto generate Proposals, with the client's data, services and prices! Converting a custom field to a variable on docs template.

I'd like the ability to show custom fields from a given task within a document.
For example if I wanted to create a project report that included key information from custom fields such as: total hours, final cost, date of completion etc. Currently there is no way for me to do this. Either via a document as I'm suggesting here. Nor can it be done via a custom view or dashboard.
The ability to add custom fields to emails would likewise be very useful.
I would expect this to be possible. Since it should just be a case of referencing data and it's already possible to pull in other dynamic data within documents and elsewhere.

Custom fields in documents

I think it would be very good to be able to add custom fields to documents. This is a normal task in Notion and it is very good to allow to use documents as reports.
For me the main usage of this is when you have a note you want to keep in some events but this are not tasks because they are not necessarily mandatory. An exemple, I use ClickUp to manage my personal goals as well as my companies. One thing I would like to keep track of is how many times a week I'm getting exercises, I don't want to create a task for this because it would be annoying to keep track of it. What I think would be great is to maintain a dairy of my exercises in the docs with fields like 'date' and 'duration' and use this to query and even make dashboards afterwards.
