From Support Ticket: I can't automate status change or anything based on email thread (eg WHEN New Email received THEN change status)

Add the ability to apply folder and space templates via the "Create Folder" and "Create Space" automation actions, similar to how you can now apply list templates in the "Create List" action (with date remapping, import settings, etc). This would let you spin up entire folder or space structures automatically when triggered by status changes, forms, scheduled dates, and more.

I have many automations with descriptions, and scrolling through them to find the one I need is a pain. It would be helpful to have a 'Search automations...' function, similar to the 'Search tasks...' feature in views.

When creating ai agents, i wanted one to run daily, see what ai notes were created (these are docs in clickup), extract action items, and put them under respective contracts. Everything seems to be doable, except for the agent actually being able to see the existence of the docs unless you add them one by one to the agents "knowledge" section. This is not feasible as you'd have to routinely add them and if you have 20 meetings in a week you'll have over 80 docs to add. The ai agents can already see "Lists", why can't they just see all docs? This wouldnt be an issue if ai notetaker created tasks in a list instead to store the recordings, transcripts and subscriptions, but because it creates docs instead its limiting the ability to use the information it captures.

We should be able re-order the list of automations and add delays on them firing if required. Another way to look at this would be to set certain automations as a certain level of priority

I would like to request a new automation feature in ClickUp that allows tasks to be automatically removed from a list when a specific condition is met. For example, when a particular assignee is removed from a task, the task should be automatically removed from the current list (not just moved to another list). Use Case: This would be helpful for workflows where task ownership determines its relevance to a list. Automating this process would save time and reduce manual work, ensuring lists stay up-to-date based on dynamic team assignments. Desired Functionality: Trigger: When a specific assignee is removed from a task (or other customizable conditions). Action: Remove the task from the current list (not just move to another list or archive). Thank you for considering this feature!

I want to be able to create an Automation that changes the due date of a task when it is completed according to a dynamic set of rules. This should include the option to choose a consistent (set of) calendar month day(s) to set the new date to, and the option to have it set the due date to the next Monday if the calendar day specified is a weekend. My aim is to have the new due date be the next earliest of either 15th or 30th calendar day of a month, or the next working day if those dates fall on weekends. The current relative date feature is not smart enough to be able to automate this.

The MCP update_task tool doesn't expose a parent field, making it impossible to move a task to be a subtask of another via the API/MCP. The ClickUp REST API PUT /task/{taskId} already supports the parent field — please expose it in the MCP tool schema.

This feature is maybe one of the most awaited ones from our side. I have had several use cases where this was a must-do to be able to setup an easy access management workflow, for non-technical users. Tag added -> add to list XYZ Tag removed -> Remove from list XYZ This feels like the most basic automation but still surprised that it isn't implemented, and not on roadmap yet. It has been there since 2023...
