Need ability to restrict who can and cannot see and who can and cannot change Automations. Automations should still be able to run when conditions are satisfied, but their existence should be made invisible to selected users or roles if/when necessary.

It will be nice to start timer from automation and stop timer from automation as well.

I would love to see the ability to map Email and Phone custom fields when using automations to create tasks in another list. Currently, only certain field types (like Short Text) can be mapped, but Email and Phone fields are not available as options. This limitation makes it difficult to automate CRM workflows and keep contact information consistent across lists. Please consider enabling mapping for Email and Phone custom fields in automations, so we can fully automate our lead-to-contact process without workarounds. Thank you for your consideration!

They want to be able to view automations from different spaces, lists, and folders in one place, and to organize and group them based on their triggers or outputs. Additionally, users want the ability to create, edit, duplicate, and remove automations from a single location, apply automations to multiple locations, and track the history and analytics of each automation.

When using an Assignee field in a ClickUp Automation to build a Form URL with hidden fields, any assignee name containing a space (e.g. "Christophe Berton") breaks the URL. Only the part before the space is captured in the text field. ClickUp Support confirmed that Automations do not support string manipulation functions (e.g. replace spaces with %20). There is currently no way to URL-encode an Assignee value within an Automation step. This is not a feature request — this is a fundamental bug/gap in the platform. You allow ASSIGNEE as a dynamic variable in Automations, but you do not handle URL-encoding, making it unusable in production for anyone whose name contains a space (which is virtually everyone). Expected behavior: Assignee values used in URLs should be automatically URL-encoded, OR a string replace/encode function should be available in Automation steps. I have many automations with descriptions, and scrolling through them to find the one I need is a pain. It would be helpful to have a 'Search automations...' function, similar to the 'Search tasks...' feature in views.

I would like for the native Created by field to be more versatile in a few ways, especially when it comes to email-generated tasks. First, I'd like to be able to see it in task view (not just in a list). Second, I'd like to be able to use it as an automation trigger condition (e.g., if Created by is equal to " email@email.com "). Third, I'd like to be able to use the value of Created by within automation actions (e.g., generate a comment that includes the value of Created by).

We would like to request a feature that proactively notifies users whenever an error occurs within the system that disrupts or prevents Automations from running as expected in their Workspace. Currently, Automations may fail silently due to system errors, configuration conflicts, or backend interruptions, and users are not always immediately aware that actions did not execute successfully. This can significantly impact workflows, especially for teams that rely heavily on multiple Automations to maintain seamless operations. We are requesting the following enhancements: In-app notifications when an Automation fails due to a system-related error. Optional email alerts sent to Workspace admins or Automation owners when failures occur. A visible alert banner or notification center indicator when users open their Workspace if recent Automation failures have occurred. A centralized Automation error log where users can review failure reasons and timestamps. This feature would improve transparency, reduce workflow disruptions, and allow teams to quickly identify and resolve issues before they impact operations.
