Exactly like this request that was closed without any fanfare or explanation: https://feedback.clickup.com/feature-requests/p/smarter-time-estimate-suggestions Basically, smarter time estimates based on time digits. Eg, if I put a 1, it probably isn't seconds and most likely isn't minutes, so the suggestion would be 1hr. If I put in 30 the suggestion should probably be in minutes. It is highly unlikely that someone putting in 45 is looking for hours instead of minutes, but maybe that's just me. Maybe things like 1-9 could default to hr and anything 10+ could default to minute? I know this is such a one off fluke feature req, but would really help. It's come up with me and my team more than once, so I figured I'd open a request :)

We need a way to take a client SOW and then track billable time against it. For example, I want to create a task list with budget items based on what was sold to client. Team will then track time against it I then need to be able to create a dashboard report to essentially assess the project profitability. I would then want an overall dashboard to review the ongoing profitability of ALL our clients in the agency

We tend to use the same the same time units for time estimates: minutes. Maybe some teams use hours. I assume most team will use the same unit of time estimate the majority of time. Would love to suggest ClickUp allow saving default units of time estimates

Currently, ClickUp allows us to assign time estimates to individual team members, which is helpful. However, in many cases, we need to assign estimated time to a team without specifying a single individual. It would be incredibly valuable if we could allocate time estimates at the team level, where the estimate applies to any team member within that group. This flexibility would streamline planning for tasks that don’t have a designated person but still require resource allocation from a particular team.

Enhance the Sprint List View by displaying the total time estimates for all tickets, including subtasks, when the parent ticket is collapsed. This feature will help users quickly assess the total estimated effort for the sprint without expanding individual tickets. The calculation should sum up the estimates of the parent tickets and their associated subtasks, ensuring accuracy and clarity in the overall time tracking.

We would need an option to freeze the time estimate when we baseline our estimate. Else people continue to update it and it becomes impossible to measure our actual effort against estimated effort. Thank you.

I would like to be able to add a time estimate for a list or a project. I think it would be helpful to see an overview of the time I can spend on a project, especially when a projectmanager assigns a certain number of hours to a project. This would be helpful for checking how many hours I can spend on a certain task, or part of a project. Maybe it could be helpful to give an overview of how many hours I can still assign to tasks within that project. Thanks! 😄👌

When a new task is created, there should be a clear warning if the assignee's capacity for the time is exceeded. It happens too quickly that assignees are overbooked, without project management realising it.

I can do a roll up of time estimates per assignee when there is just one assignee (group by assignee function) however, as soon as there is multiple (i.e. Steve 2hrs, Tina 3hrs and George 4hrs) it groups by the assignee group not individual. therefore I cannot see the total time estimate for only Steve on my list project. When project monitoring this is really critical to see how much time is needed from them across the project as a whole. AND for allocated costs (billable time) on a project, to see how on track I am. SO simple in Excel yet so hard here.

When task was reassigned, the hours allocated to the previous assignee was removed. Is there a way to retain the time estimates per assignee even when the task is reassigned and the previous assignee was kept as watcher?
