I have Notepad pinned to my toolbar. Before the change to 4.0, the Notepad icon was accessible in modal task view. The icon remains accessible in full screen and sidebar task view layout in 4.0; it's only modal that doesn't show it. The N or P keyboard shortcut does not work on that view, either, despite working elsewhere. I heavily use Notepad to store self-made text templates to copy and paste into task comments since comment/text-only template types are not currently supported in ClickUp. Since 4.0, I have to click out of modal task view to access the Notepad, copy the note, open the task, and paste it in.

Add a slider so that you can adjust the viewing zoom on whiteboards more accurately. Currently you can only adjust in 25% increments, which makes the scale awkward at times.

Allow user to set a default font, text size, color, etc while working in a whiteboard to avoid having to select these every time you type something.

Can Clickup add tags for timeline view? Would be great if they're beneath the task name like calendar view.

It's always bugged me that when I'm on the fly using ClickUp on mobile, the one holdup is that the planner just shows your events, nothing else. You can 'open' them with the view drawer, but they don't show the video call links, you can't view or open the tasks in them, and you also can't create the tasks and time blocks and events from mobile, either. Those abilities would allow you to do task execution on the fly inside the planner, which especially for my use case in outside sales, would be game changing!

We'd like to be able to create custom List statuses via the API. This is very easy with the UI, so it should be really easy to implement an API endpoint for it.

The Today and Overdue list of tasks is really helpful to see what I need to work on, especially if there is a due date in the future. However, it would be helpful to have more filtering options so I can exclude including overdue tasks from a project that has been put on hold or cancelled.

We would like the ability to use "Create Folder from Template" as an automation Action in ClickUp. Current Behavior: ClickUp automations currently support creating a List as an action, but there is no option to create a Folder and no option to apply a saved template when doing so. This means any folder-based project setup must be done manually, even when a clear trigger exists. Use Case: We are a creative studio managing client projects in ClickUp. When a prospect within Space [X] reaches Closed - Won, we need to create a new project Folder in the Projects Space [Y] from our saved template. This is currently a manual step with no native automation path. The ideal automation would look like this: Trigger: Task status changes to Closed - Won in [X] Space Action: Create Folder from Template in [Y] Space

It would be nice to be able to customize the doc icon in the header bar the same way you can with other views, instead of just inside the document.

Request Please add an easy way to turn a comment into a task/subtask, ideally in two ways: Manual option on any comment: Add a menu option like “Convert to task” or “Convert to subtask” directly on a comment (anywhere comments exist: tasks, subtasks, meeting tasks). Automation trigger: Add an Automation trigger for “Comment assigned” (assigned comment created) so teams can use “assigning the final action comment” as the moment it becomes a task automatically. Expected behavior When converting: The task name should default to the comment text (or first line) The task description should include the original comment text and a link back to the original comment/thread for context The new task should inherit the assignee (if the comment was assigned) and optionally inherit the due date if one is set/mentioned Ideally offer choice of location: create as a subtask under the current task, or create as a task in a selected List Why it matters This would let teams discuss normally in Activity, then turn the final agreed action into a trackable task instantly, without manual duplication. Problem Teams use the Activity/Comments area inside tasks to chat and solve problems (this happens in meeting tasks, regular tasks, and subtasks). Often multiple team members contribute to the discussion. When the team reaches a solution, the final comment (the agreed action) should become a task, but today we must manually re-type or recreate the work as a new task/subtask. This creates extra admin, duplicate writing, and increases the risk that action items are missed.
