As the number of documents and meeting notes grows, the current flat document list becomes hard to manage. Tags help, but they don’t provide enough structure for users working across multiple projects or clients. I’d like the ability to organise docs into project based folders, so related documents can live together in a clear, structured way. This would make it easier to navigate, maintain context, and keep work organised over time. Ideally this would include: • Creating folders for projects or clients • Grouping multiple docs inside each folder • Viewing docs by folder instead of one long list • Easily moving docs between folders This would make doc management far more intuitive and scalable for users handling lots of ongoing work.

This one is such a simple request. I don't think it needs further explination but essentially being locked into designing pages on a black background simply because I'm in dark mode, is counter productive to crafting docs that are visually on brand. (Even though when the pages are shared they present as a white page.) Can we please get a fix for this?

Dear ClickUp Team, I am writing as an active user of the platform and a paying monthly subscriber. I rely on ClickUp as my central workspace for organization, studying, and project management, and a significant portion of my work involves technical documentation that includes mathematical formulas. Currently, many of my documents contain mathematical expressions. However, since there is no built-in functionality to write formulas and have them properly rendered in mathematical format (for example, through a LaTeX-style rendering engine or similar), the experience is limited. Formulas must be written in plain text, which affects clarity, readability, and precision—especially for fractions, integrals, matrices, summations, or more complex expressions. Thank you for your time and consideration. I hope you will consider adding this functionality in a future update.

The ClickUp API, when used with Markdown to update text like Docs or Task Descriptions, adds line breaks that aren't part of the original markdown. For example, it adds line breaks after every heading and after every bullet section. Please fix the automatic addition of these line breaks to more closely match the original content. This affects: Migrating Docs and content from other platforms to ClickUp Automatic workflows using tools like Zapier or n8n

In previous versions of Clickup it was possible to change the paragraph spacing (and other settings) for documents. This has been confirmed to me as being removed in Clickup v4, to avoid confusion. Currently, in Clickup v4, the paragraph spacing is not enough - in my opinion. Text is bunched together too much, and it makes it hard to read. I propose to increase the default document spacing to at least have a little bit of space between paragraphs. I personally don't really need to be able to change this to some custom value. It would, however, also be nice to have the option of setting line spacing.

I'd love docs to have custom fields (like meta data) or for tasks to have a way to look like docs to be similar to Notion.

Embedded List views inside Docs are locked to a fixed height, which forces you to scroll inside the Doc just to see tasks. This breaks reading flow and makes Docs harder to use for SOPs, planning docs, and dashboards. Please allow embedded Lists to auto-expand vertically (or let users set the height), so tasks can be viewed naturally without nested scrolling.

I am missing the ability to navigate to subpages fast and see my full hierarchy (understand where what is) in the sidebar. Notion does this in a great way - I feel much more in control where I am with a much better overview. Please add this functionality.

Hi team, On business / business plus plans at least allow removing the clickup button and top bar. It does not look professional. If you must have clickup branding, add it at the bottom in a subtle way like "Powered by Clickup Docs" or something. Or at least when the doc is embedded - remove it or allow a variable to remove it as a middle ground

Please add the ability to export docs to MS Word. This is essential, otherwise Docs are useless for me. This is because clients often require documents in their own Word templates. For example, In Jira, I can generate a table from issues (lists) that appear in a Confluence document. That Confluence document can then be seamlessly exported to Word, which can be tweaked to fit the client's template. Exporting a ClickUp document in PDF format does not allow me to do this, so I continue to use Jira/Confluence. If ClickUp were to export docs to Word then I may switch my process.
