BACKGROUND Using ClickUp Calendar for schedule work items Using Backlog with lists and filters PAIN The Filters to the Backlog in the calendar cannot be saved (as they can in other areas in ClickUp) This means I have manually update and change filters constantly. WORKAROUND No work around possible I have manually update and change filters constantly in the Backlog left sidebar REQUEST Add ability to save filters for the Calendar Backlog sidebar. These should be shared from the saved filters function elsewhere in ClickUp

Can't change/drag times once a task has been pulled into the planner. If a task is marked as "Done" it disappears from planner. Sidebar/Backlog Poorly organised - If I have tasks with Subtasks it's all muddled up. Sidebar/Backlog Organisation should be per list/location. When a task is dragged into the planner, it should be the actual task not a "Focus time", therefore a task should have have multiple "dates" it can be worked on and one actual hard deadline for the "due date". Another reason for this is so that opening the job card is easier to access all info. Time tracking should be made easier so can start time as soon as the task begins (earlier or later) then the planner automatically adjusts the start and finish times of the task. Add notifications if a ask should begin or Should be available as a card on your personal list.

When dragging a task from "Assigned to me" to the Planner calendar, the resulting event only shows the subtask name (e.g. "Mix 1" or "Music composition"). For users managing multiple projects with similar subtask names, this makes the calendar unreadable without clicking into each event. Request: Allow the Planner time block event title to automatically include parent task context, such as the project name or order number. Ideally this would be configurable in Time Blocking → Personalization settings, e.g.: {parent_task_name} - {task_name} {custom_field:Project} - {task_name} Or simply the root task's first word/number as a prefix This is critical for studios, agencies, and anyone running parallel projects where subtask names alone don't provide enough context at a glance.

When a task syncs to Calendar view (or Google Calendar) as a 1-hour event, the event card is too small to display all relevant information (assignee, parent task, tags, etc.). The content gets cut off and you have to click into each event to see what it actually is. Request: Allow short-duration events (1h or less) to expand their card height to fit all visible fields, or at minimum show the full title and key metadata without truncation. The vertical space impact is minimal, but the information loss is significant, especially in a busy day view with many short tasks. For professionals managing multiple back-to-back sessions (e.g. mixing, recording, calls), being able to glance at the calendar and see everything without clicking into each event is essential.

When subtasks sync to Google Calendar, the event title only shows the subtask name, which often lacks context (e.g. "Mix 1" or "Review"). Without seeing which project/parent task it belongs to, the calendar becomes unreadable when you have multiple projects with similarly named subtasks. Request: Add an option to prepend or append the parent task name to the Google Calendar event title, e.g. "Parent Task / Subtask Name". Ideally this would be a toggle in the sync settings so users can opt in or out. This is especially important for music/media producers, agencies, and anyone managing multiple projects with repetitive subtask structures (mix, review, delivery, etc.).

When you link ClickUp tasks to a Google (or Outlook) calendar event, they should be visible as a clickable, stacked list inside the event block on the Planner grid, the same way tasks appear inside native focus blocks. Current behaviour: You can link tasks to a calendar event, but there's no visual indication on the Planner grid that tasks are attached. You have to click into the event to see them. They're hidden metadata rather than a usable at-a-glance workflow. Desired behaviour: Linked tasks render inside the calendar event block as a visible, clickable list, just like tasks dragged into a native focus block. You should be able to see what's planned for that time slot without opening the event, and click through to any task directly. Why this matters: Many users rely on recurring Google/Outlook events for repeating time blocks (since native focus blocks can't recur yet). This would bridge that gap significantly. The linking feature already exists, it just needs a visual layer on the Planner grid. It makes the Planner a genuine "what am I doing and when" view without having to click into every event to remember what you planned. Workarounds considered: Dragging tasks into native focus blocks: Works perfectly, but those blocks can't recur, so you're rebuilding them every week. Just remembering what's linked: Defeats the point of visual planning. If I have to click into every event to see what's in it, the Planner isn't doing its job at a glance.

I'd love the ability to create recurring focus blocks in the Planner that tasks can be dropped into each week, just like one-off focus blocks work today. Current behaviour: Focus blocks are one-offs. To get recurring time blocks, you have to use calendar events, but those don't display tasks as a stacked list inside the block. You can link tasks to an event, but it's not the same visual/functional experience as dragging tasks into a native focus block. Desired behaviour: A focus block that recurs on a set schedule (daily, weekly, custom) and acts as a container I can drag tasks into each week. Tasks should render inside the block as a visible list, exactly like they do for manually created focus blocks today. Workarounds considered (and why they don't cut it): Recurring Google/Outlook calendar events: These show up in the Planner grid, but you can't drag tasks into them the way you can with native focus blocks. You can link tasks to the event, but they don't appear as a stacked list inside the block. It's buried metadata, not a visual workflow. Not quick way to access the tasks contained in the block. Recurring tasks with time estimates: These appear in the sidebar and can be dragged onto the calendar, but they are a task, not a container for other tasks. You end up with a placeholder task that doesn't actually hold or display the real work you want to do in that block. Manually recreating focus blocks each week: Works, but defeats the purpose. If I have 4-5 repeating blocks per week, that's a lot of setup every Monday for something that should just be there. Use case: As a freelancer, I have repeating work sessions (e.g. mixing blocks, admin blocks) at roughly the same times each week. I want those blocks to appear automatically in my Planner so I can just drag the relevant tasks in without recreating the block every week.

When creating a meeting in Planner, ClickUp automatically assigns a video conferencing provider (Google Meet, Zoom, or SyncUp Call) — there's no way to remove it or leave the field blank. This is a problem for: In-person meetings, where a video link is irrelevant and confusing External tools like Microsoft Teams, which aren't in the native provider list, forcing you to keep an unrelated Zoom/Meet/SyncUp link attached anyway, and having more than one link sent to invitees. Right now the only workaround is manually adding the real meeting details (Teams link, physical location, etc.) in the description — while an unwanted video link still sits in the main event field, misleading attendees about how to join. Request: Add a "None" option in the video conferencing dropdown so users can create a meeting without any auto-assigned video call provider.

Hi There! I see all the tasks that I have planned for my day on the top of my calendar on the section "All day" and that is great! however, there are several things that would be great to fix and improve, see my notes below: when I mark tasks done, the tasks showing in my calendar don't go away. they stay there. if it is a 2 way sync, when I mark something done or moved to another day etc, It should reflect in my calendar, right? Any meetings I add under google calendar or that my team adds, they don't over to the calendar in click up. and even when I adjust the time of a task to be done specifically, like it is not updated in the CU Calendar... am I missing something maybe? let me know. thank you!
