If I have a task that will take 8 hours to allow me to schedule 4 hours for Monday and 4 hours for Tues. (Roel)

Hi There! I see all the tasks that I have planned for my day on the top of my calendar on the section "All day" and that is great! however, there are several things that would be great to fix and improve, see my notes below: when I mark tasks done, the tasks showing in my calendar don't go away. they stay there. if it is a 2 way sync, when I mark something done or moved to another day etc, It should reflect in my calendar, right? Any meetings I add under google calendar or that my team adds, they don't over to the calendar in click up. and even when I adjust the time of a task to be done specifically, like it is not updated in the CU Calendar... am I missing something maybe? let me know. thank you!

Some users have requested the ability to create a task from a calendar event. eg sometimes i need to create a task for the appointment [booking] as well as the appointment itself.

BACKGROUND We are using ClickUp Calendar to schedule tasks into Calendar, syncing to Outlook. We need to be able (for each user) to easily identify which tasks have or have not been scheduled. PAIN One of the key missing pieces at the moment is that the tasks shown on the left sidebar (Priorities, Assigned to me, Today & Overdue, Backlog) have no indicator on them if they have been scheduled onto calendar (unless we use auto-schedule). This makes it difficult to identify which tasks have been scheduled, and which have not been scheduled. WORKAROUND For now, I have been managing this by MANUALLY changing the task status (to "Planned") to provide this indication. REQUEST We are asking for ClickUp to automatically provide an indicator on the tasks in the left side bar if they have been scheduled onto Calendar either via drag and drop or inclusion of Focus Block. Other beneficial features would include: Upon click or hover of the tasks in the left side bar: a modal pop up showing a list of scheduled times/date for scheduling of this task (same as does currently with Auto-schedule) Upon click or hover of the tasks in the left side bar: highlight all calendar items on the current view that are scheduled for the task selected (apply to tasks scheduled via auto-schedule, drag and drop or inclusion of Focus Block). Globally - have a section on the default task view (when opening a task anywhere in ClickUp, including from calendar) showing scheduled dates/time for this task on the ClickUp calendar (apply to tasks scheduled via auto-schedule, drag and drop or inclusion of Focus Block).

BACKGROUND We are using ClickUp Calendar to schedule tasks into Calendar, syncing to Outlook. We have recurring tasks that we need to do and that need to be on the calendar (E.g. Sales weekly review). PAIN Currently this is not possible with ClickUp Calendar.. WORKAROUND Using Reclaim.ai "Habits' function - works perfectly but needs this in ClickUp Calendar. I'm using this for personal school, and I want to give two dates for a task. One for when I need to start the task and another for when it's due. For example, I have to read a chapter from my textbook by Monday, but it's not just a task for Monday, I need to start it on Friday. A range would be nice because then I could see when I need to start and when it needs to finished. Alternatively, if I could assign that task to be done on Friday and Monday, then I'd know what I need to work on for those days, which could also be useful.

It would be helpful for there to be a default option on the calendar view to only show tasks on the day they are due. Right now, when a task has a start and end date, there is a large block that goes through all of the days from start date to end date. When you have multiple tasks due on the same day plus others that are do days after it makes the calendar very cluttered and hard to use because you just see a bunch of colored bars running through each day. If we could have an option for the start and end date to be filled out but only show a task on the due date that would be amazing. It being default instead of a custom field is also important, we don't want to see a custom field date show up on the calendar view. The current solution to this is to just remove the start dates from tasks, but we would like to be able to keep start dates populated in each task.

Is there two way sync for Mac calendar? That'd be amazing. Just so when you're on your iPhone and change something on your calendar it automatically changes it in ClickUp.

BACKGROUND We are using ClickUp Calendar to schedule tasks into Calendar, syncing to Outlook. We use category colours in outlook to be able to easily identify if upcoming calendar events are with another person (they have a colour) and if so, what type of meeting this is (e.g. Sales Call, Marketing, etc). See attached category settings screen shot/ PAIN ClickUp Calendar does not currently show the Outlook category colours within the ClickUp Calendar. This means we can't easily identify if it is an external meeting and if so, what type of external meeting it is WORKAROUND No current workaround is possible, so we're constantly switching between the ClickUp Calendar and the Outlook Calendar. As you'll see from the attached screenshots, the ClickUp Calendar is entirely one colour. Whereas the Outlook Calendar shows the different colouring for the external meetings and the different types of meetings that these are REQUEST We need the ClickUp calendar to honour and show the Outlook category colours applied to events that are meetings with externals.
