Feature Requests

Currently, I use all caps to designate mini-projects. However, typing task names in all caps, especially on mobile, is inefficient. Holding the shift key or toggling Caps Lock slows down quick entry. To improve this, I propose a keyboard shortcut to convert task names to all uppercase when using a computer. This would allow for faster, less cumbersome task capture on mobile. Optional: As an additional visual indicator for mini-projects, consider adding an option in "Customization" to automatically convert a parent task name to all uppercase upon the creation of a subtask.

It'd be good to have more robust keyboard shortcuts, so it's easier to navigate and get around in the main windows, as well as within tasks and subtasks. For instance: Going straight to comments section from within a task/subtask Going back to main task when in a subtask Tabbing through sections of a task Quick complete task Move to next status, previous status in a task These are just a few, to make it less trackpad/mouse-heavy!

I want to be able to close the pad again with P or N and also want to be able to create a new note with the Notepad being open. That's not possible right now and makes it very useless and clunky. I use a keyboard shortcut but then have to use the mouse again to click.

Be able to use NLP for dates in task description and comments so it would be easier to log follow-ups. i.e. @Today Spoke with Mary Jane. She will ask John.

Hi team, I hope this will be obvious. I've been burned by this SO many times. If you do anything that opens a small menu (pop-up), if you tap the ESC key, it should close that menu. Right now, it closes everything. Steps to reproduce (one example): Open a task view Create a subtask Click the 3 dots next to the subtask. A menu appears as a pop-up Tap the ESC key to close that menu Expected behavior: the menu closes Actual behavior: the entire task view closes and you have to re-open everything. I suspect it's a principle of UX/UI: when you close/exit something via shortcut, it has to exit/close the screen.modal that is the "highest" in the hierarchy, the element that is the "closest" to the eyes of the user. In Notion, you can type the @ symbol and use the smart function to say today, tomorrow, yesterday. It will input the word that you used let's say I typed @today. It would display as today in that dynamic text, if I opened the item up tomorrow it would say yesterday in that dynamic text and then it would roll to a date as time passed. This was an extremely useful feature in note taking, documents, and tasks to be able to say today and it would fill in the date so we know what day the meeting occurred. I also used in in tasks where I would be setting something up for the future and I would say @today I did... then when I opened it up in the future it would show date. Documenting calls, conversations etc. to be able to say yesterday this happened today this happened and not have to worry about filling in dates.

I would lve to just press a key and be taken to the home page - currently the Only page to easily read through my reminders. That being said, it would be great to also have additional easy ways to read through reminders, especially on mobile.

Right now you can add text in a table cell, highlight it, and then turn it into a task/subpage but you can't access / commands from the table cell to do that directly. It is not an intuitive and consistent experience from the rest of ClickUp where everything is controlled through / commands.

We cannot switch between UNDO & REDO shortcuts on ClickUp, which is driving me crazy. I cannot count the quantity of content I lost because of this missing "REDO". Let's take a simple example: My base text is: "Lorem ipsum amazing dog" I'm erasing "dog" to write "cat": => "Lorem ipsum amazing cat" Undo (cmd + Z on mac) => "Lorem ipsum amazing text" Hmm nop, it definitely sound better with my change. Let's redo (cmd + maj + Z on mac) => Nothing change, text stays as "Lorem ipsum amazing text" I just lost my change. Here, this is a simple word, but sometimes it's WAY MORE. This UNDO / REDO logic is supported by all major text-based solutions. We did this I think around 100 times a day and it's not a big button on task to click. It would be awesome if there's a shortcut/command that can remove the currect opening task from tray please!!
