There's inconsistency in how docs and their subpages are represented in ClickUp that I find frustrating. When mentioning a doc, you get the full location of that doc (whether it's attached to a view or task), but if you mention a subpage in that doc, the mention is just the page name. I need at least the doc name or location/task name for this to be useful, especially since I use generic project plan doc templates where the pages always have the same name. In my usage of ClickUp, I add a single doc to a location as a knowledge base and to a task as a project plan. I've been recently naming it "[Location Name] KB" or "[Task Name] Plan", but that can be lengthy and redundant. I guess I could just name it "KB" or "Plan", but that makes the Docs Hub not as useful, which is probably fine because I don't use it that much anyway. I'm curious if other people have this doc usage pattern and how they handle it.

It would be good to have the DOC titles in the side menu sorted alphabetically. Becomes a problem to find, administer and create new DOCs when they are in a random order.

Hi ! Like in other famous tools like Notion, Confluence, or else it is possible to add a new field of dates with the command / As a newcomer in ClickUp I'm really afraid by the fact that this feature has not been implemented since the beginning. Not really hard to add but really useful to follow the actions or a document when history of actions is needed. Thanks for the support

it's very difficult to share data from excel in clickup. I would like to be able to paste data in and have it format as a table in my doc virtually identical to how it looked in excel.

We have many project-based standup meetings, and I'd like to organize all those meeting notes within a list view or as child docs to a parent doc. So possible ideas could be: -Add "tags" view where I can tag documents (this exists), and be able to add a view to a list, folder, or space that surfaces any documents tagged with that specific tag. -Add some sort of setup to be able to group documents into folders, then attach those document folders to lists (or nest within other sidebar folders) -Add a parent/child relationship between documents – currently, I can add blank child documents, but I'm not able to move an existing doc (created by AI notetaker) under a parent doc.

Would love for a checklist created in a Doc to have the option to automatically sort by completed. So as items are checked off, they move to the bottom of the list, and the unchecked items remain at the top. Apple Notes has this feature - very handy for quick to-do lists!

I'm creating a series of documents in the studio and I like to use icons or emojis that represent each theme (for example, the Aximmetry logo). Today, I have to upload the same icon several times to different documents, which ends up consuming time and making the page heavier when loading several repeated images. My suggestion: Add an icon/image library within ClickUp, so that when you upload a file once, you can reuse it in any document without having to upload it again. Allow the document icon to also appear in the space side tab, to maintain visual consistency and easily identify each document. I think this functionality would help a lot to streamline the workflow and keep everything more organized. Thank you for your attention!

Currently, ClickUp Docs do not support the dynamic insertion or automatic updating of task-related data (e.g., task name, due date, custom fields) within the document content. While tasks can be linked using the /task command, this only embeds a basic reference without pulling specific field values into the text. This requires manual copying and updating of task data, which is time-consuming and prone to errors, especially in projects where task details frequently change. Requested Feature: Add support for dynamic variables or placeholders in ClickUp Docs that automatically populate and update with values from the associated task’s fields. For example: Users could insert placeholders like [TASK_NAME], [DUE_DATE], or [CUSTOM_FIELD_NAME] in a Doc. These placeholders would pull real-time data from the task linked to the Doc (or a specified task). Any updates to the task fields (e.g., a changed due date) would reflect instantly in the Doc without manual intervention.

I would like to be able to provide a link that can't be sent to people externally to be ablet to upload docs to be submitted to the team for review and to be filed with the appropriate task or saved as a resource.

Multiple documents can have same or similar name. The location (breadcrumb) is also needed.
