Hi, ClickUp is in the right way, but it lacks of something very usefull: DATABASES, as in Notion. In fact that's the one of the most powerfull options of Notion. You can see it as a list of tasks (rows/records) with fields (columns). Then you can create new lists/tables/databases based on that data, related to that data, filtered by fields/columns... Once you have worked with databases, you know the very necessity of it. Regards

As a user, I would like to create a database within a page in docs (like in Notion) so that I can be more flexible with how I want my documents to appear and function.

Ability to make a project or list a database that could standalone or be related to other things across the account. Also having some spreadsheeting relate to other things could allow for some great custom budgeting tools to be created related to projects. Maybe even a yodlee integration where you could bring a feed of transactions from an account in and tag them to the database.

Interested in seeing either a doc template or view template for managing and organizing bookmarks with an embed or a hyperlink. I am currently setting up each bookmark as tasks in a standalone space and it is ok but not ideal. Maybe bookmarks can be stored in a repository that lets you categorize and add to tasks or docs if desired. Linkman has some good ideas but it is overdone. at the moment we are using pipedrive for sales but for what it gives us we could do this and very much more in clickup if we were able to have our customer database accessible.

Hi there, I was wondering if there is a feature that we can input databases that anyone can update that will update for everyone else. Is there also the option for restricted access? Thanks!

I would like to be able to view the documents in a table view, just like in Notion. In this way, we could relocate databases with their respective documents. It could be an easier way to organize documents in different databases (instead of folders) as well as insert/mention them in pages or tasks. I'm importing my Notion documents into Clickup pages, but I'm having great difficulty keeping them organized there. In Notion my documents are organized and sorted by database resources. Would it be possible to work on it? Congratulations for the work guys! Loving Clickup!

Hello ClickUp, I am in dire need of a database feature in this software. More so, I am using the brave web browser, allowing me to use their bookmark feature as an in-depth database. My process goes like this, I research a topic on my mind, let's say IP management until I find a good source of INFORMATION, be it a youtube video, blog, podcast, something I made/wrote, or a function of my company (from Metabase), then I bookmark that page and choose the folder of which that page is getting stationed to. It's folder-based database systems like this that allow for easy-to-use information gathering. ClickUp always amazed me with its ability to make task management so easy (and there is a myriad of reasons as to why), but it's the lack of consideration for everything else (that needs proper management) that has always put a bad taste in my mouth. And the reason I am not comfortable with just leaving the database thing for brave bookmarks is its complete lack of visualization features. Yes, I stand by the fact that folder-based systems are the best systems for databases, but I, and many others, NEED data visualization features like mind maps, folder-specific dashboards, link building, interactive reporting (optional, and probably for paid versions), graphs & charts, pictures, and different ways to view things. More so, I think ClickUp is the one app that can satisfy my, and many others, needs. Bottom Line: ClickUp team, I know for a FACT that you guys are dedicated to creating the BEST productivity management app, and I am confident that creating an optimum database feature is going to make you objectively the best. PS: To make this feature even have a possibility of doing what I stated, you MUST update, revamp and perfect the web clipper add-on because right now it sucks. I don't intend to be harsh or anything but it is extremely buggy and frustrating to use. A tip I can give you is that you can make a ClickUp icon appear at the bottom right/left screen for ALL sites (not just "some" sites). There is also a bookmark manager software that I think categories this even better than brave (better folder management), use see this as inspiration and I encourage you to add plenty of features that make it the best bookmark manager out there: https://www.outertech.com/en/bookmark-manager . Right now I am 100% confident that obsidian.md does databases justice. While I do not use obsidian, and I think it will benefit greatly if they add a good web clipper, there is no doubt in my mind that obsidian has the best database management.
