I think the connected search for outlook is very needed, this would be very useful!

I can't always remember what I named something or what terminology I used. I'd like to be able to search in natural language and have ClickUp search find the task I'm looking for. I think this should be available to all users, not just those who pay extra for AI.

As a heavy keyboard user, I'm expecting to hit Cmd+J, enter my keystrokes (often favorite names as shortcuts), hit enter, and get a predictable behavior. However, if the cursor happens to be on the search results area, it takes priority over the first result. I think it would be good to ignore the cursor position if it hasn't moved since the search was rendered. That way top result will always prevail in keyboard only workflows.

The search bar in 4.0 collapses automatically with the new release requiring user to click the magnifying glass before being able to search for a task. As this is the most used feature in that toolbar, please either leave expanded or give option for users to have it expanded as a view setting.

This was possible in previous versions of Click-Up and was incredibly helpful when working across multiple workspaces. Now it takes 4 times as long to find the correct job as I need to hover over each job individually to see from which workspace the job originates. Please bring this back!! ver 3.5.176

We have custom task Id enabled and we want to search for the task spa-11. The search results should show me that it is indeed spa-11. Currently it only shows task Name. Please allow the custom task id to be shown in the search results.

With the immediate entry and scan process confirmed by Enter, the search AI agent only manages to mark and open the last search entry. If only this could be used as in SAP...

Applies only to ClickUp 4.0, while in the Board View. Observation (differences between current and new ClickUp 4.0): A: The search bar in the Board View is now in the top and centered (used to be right side). B: Also the function of searching now doesn't auto-filter the card while you type in the search bar either. Feedback: While the above 'A' is minor, it reduces the real estate allowed for the menu. And I also note the font is smaller! Is there an option to change the size of the font in the menu? (I don't wear glasses and I'm not yet middle-aged so I can only imagine that this could be an optimisation for those that work only on laptops and not connected displays/screens, in which case it'd be good to have an option for those that have larger display screens and want larger menu items etc. to make their workflow smoother/easier). Above 'B' has seriously affected how I work (negatively). I need to see the cards filtered when I'm searching due to the sheer number of cards I'm managing at different stages (and for multiple creative campaigns with multiple items within each campaign - I work in the media/creative space). If I wanted the search bar to pick the card I wanted or show me a list of options I'd use a different view, not the board view. I desperately need the search to also filter the cards in the board view when I'm using the search bar. I mostly work only in board view. When I'm solely working on one client/campaign, then I switch to table or list view as required, or Gantt/whiteboard when I'm doing more technical projects, but for the most part Board View is my preferred and where I'm in every day 98% of the time.

Currently, subtasks can only be found in List or Gantt views if they are displayed as separate tasks. This limitation disrupts workflows that rely on keeping subtasks nested under their parent tasks for organization and visibility. Previously, it was possible to search for subtasks without separating them from their parent tasks, which allowed for a much smoother and more efficient navigation experience. The removal of this functionality has significantly impacted our team’s productivity, as many of our workflows and automations depend on being able to locate subtasks quickly within structured hierarchies. We request the reintroduction or improvement of the subtask search capability so users can find subtasks across all views (List, Gantt, etc.) without the need to display them as standalone tasks.

My group is trying to streamline our posted task to prevent overcrowding. Therefore we are trying to create subtasks for our major projects that require multiple alternative videos. When we create subtasks their ISCI#s aren't able to quick search and return, you can search them when you switch viewing setting from "Collapse all" to "As Separate tasks" however, this lists everything individually undoing the purpose of the collapsed subtasks. Being able to do this would create significantly less confusion when searching for our content.
