I would like to have the ability to create a custom map of our manufacturing plant. Import a DWG or DXF of the layout. I would like to be able to create custom fences in the plant (shaded areas) the correlate to either a Status or a Custom Field so that when a "Task" moves from one department into another department we can see it move through the plant. This movement from one department to the other (shaded area) is the equivalent of changing that field or moving a project in the board view. Additionally I would also like to create a grid inside the plant to create a location grid. Zone A1-J28 so if we move a task to a specific area in the plant to be worked on we know exactly which location it in. I would like to be able to use the plant columns as reference for this, by drawing fences and when a task is in overlapping areas. Column C - Row 14 I know where it is located within our plant. That area can also have an overlapping layer for the department that is in that area as well. This way we can set up crews and notifications for teams and managers for when our projects move through.

It would be great if the location field could use coordinates. We often need to direct our installers to a specific location, not just to an address. We create custom maps to supplement right now, but the integration is very clunky, especially when using a mobile device.

We want to show different types of data on the map. In our example, we want to see field staff vs project locations. Right now they are all pins and I can only use colors to distinguish the difference. However, this only gives a very shallow view of the data. Say, for example, I want to distinguish different types of field crews by color and different stages of projects by color. The color hues start getting too complex to make sense out of anything. Having different pin icons for different task types and being able to map which icon is tied to which task type is one way this could work. Also being able to choose different fields for colors on different task types would also simplify the mixing of different types of data. So, my field staff don't have to have a status created to apply to them which adds complexity to the normal project status, which does not need to see field crews listed in the normal project status workflow.

We want to see more information about the task shown on the map then the default information in the current cards, which is only location, opening up a new page, priory, name, and assignee. For example, I want to add a URL to open a page based on a specific task. I want to click on the pin, open the card then click on a link to open a page related to that pin. But right now, there are no "field" options to add anything else to that view unlike every other view in ClickUp.

It should be possible to choose witch information is avalible when cliking a pin. Just like in board view. Right now you can only see Name, Status, Priority and Assignee. But you cannot see any other information. From a usability persepctive it does not make sense to have a map view where you cannot access any other information.

We have tasks that have a lot of information that we like to populate in the Maps view, but it only shows the name, assignee, priority and status. It would be great if the custom fields we are using could also show up in the maps view, as it makes the maps view way less useful if we have to look on the map then go to a different view, find the task that we found on the map, then get the information from that whole other view.

Map View in ClickUp feels clunky compared to other whiteboard tools because the core navigation isn’t optimised for mouse-only use: Zooming: Right now, I need to hold CMD (Mac) + scroll. Every other whiteboard lets me zoom naturally with just the mouse wheel. Dragging / Hand Tool: To move around the board, I have to hold SPACE. Everywhere else, right-click (or middle mouse) automatically engages the hand tool. Having to use two hands for such basic navigation is a constant hurdle. It slows me down, makes the feature feel awkward and honestly puts me off using it. Every other mapping tool supports smooth mouse-only navigation if ClickUp did too, I’d happily use Map View over Miro.

I'd love to be able to toggle the location pins, street names, and area names on and off in this view. It's difficult to tell the difference between task pins and native google map pins when zoomed in closely. We'd also love to just declutter this view in general.

Would be nice to be able to see the actual address when hovering over a Pin and/or when clicking on a Ping

To include longitude/latitude column to add new locations. That would be the easiest way to manage locations. And you guys have to integrate ClickUp with Google My Business
