FEATURE REQUEST SUMMARY We are requesting a warning or confirmation prompt when a task or subtask is re-nested under a different parent in a way that automatically changes its home list. CURRENT BEHAVIOR When a task or subtask exists in multiple lists and is re-nested under a different parent task in a secondary list, ClickUp silently removes it from its original home list with no warning, confirmation dialog, or undo notification. Specifically: • Tasks: Re-nesting a task under a new parent in List B automatically removes it from List A (its home list) and reassigns List B as the new home list — without any user prompt. • Subtasks: The same behavior occurs for subtasks. Re-nesting under a new parent in List B removes the subtask from its original home list in List A. In both cases, the task or subtask is not deleted, but because there is no notification of the home list change, users believe the task has disappeared. USER IMPACT This behavior has caused significant confusion among our users, who interpret the silent home list change as tasks being lost or deleted. This erodes trust in the platform and creates unnecessary troubleshooting overhead for our team. REQUESTED BEHAVIOR We would like ClickUp to introduce a confirmation prompt or warning notification when a re-nesting action is about to change a task's home list. Ideally, this would look something like: "Nesting this task under a new parent will change its home list from [List A] to [List B]. This will remove it from [List A]. Do you want to continue?" This small change would: Prevent accidental and unintended home list changes. Give users a clear opportunity to confirm or cancel the action. Improve transparency around how multi-list task management works. Reduce user confusion and support escalations related to "missing" tasks. We hope this is a relatively low-lift UX improvement that would have a meaningful impact on user experience, particularly for teams managing tasks across multiple lists. We hope this can be considered for a future update.

The issue is with the bulk selection of tasks and sub-tasks. In addition, to the copy and pasting of tasks/sub.. a simple ctrl+c then a ctrl+v as any other application would be much better as a user exp. The duplication and the moving of tasks/sub.. is a nightmare!!

I'm a very visual person and I've already found a feature in other project/task management apps that I'd love to see in ClickUp. It's a progress bar based on the duration of the task (from start date to end date). I'd be really happy if this feature could be added to the list view. I'll give you a little more detail of what I imagine below. DESCRIPTION I suggest introducing a dynamic, time-based progress bar for tasks in ClickUp's list view. This feature would automatically calculate and visually represent task progress based on the start and end dates, providing users with an at-a-glance understanding of task completion status relative to its timeline. KEY COMPONENTS Auto-Calculated Progress: The progress bar would automatically update based on the current date relative to the task's start and end dates. Visual Representation: A colorful bar in the list view that fills from left to right as time progresses. BENEFITS ✓ Provides a quick visual indicator of task progress without needing to open individual tasks. ✓ Helps identify tasks that may be falling behind schedule. ✓ Enhances project overview by allowing easy identification of overall project progress. Complements existing manual and checklist-based progress indicators. USE CASES ✧ Project managers can quickly assess the status of multiple tasks in a project. ✧ Team members can prioritize their work based on task progress and deadlines. ✧ Stakeholders can get a clear picture of project advancement without diving into details. I believe this feature would significantly enhance ClickUp's task management capabilities, especially for users who rely heavily on timeline-based project planning and execution.

Lists have the ability to add a description to the list and pin it in each view. Issue#1 - When an attachment is added through List Info, it is not visible in the description. Only text added is visible. Issue#2 - When an attachment is added directly in the description, it is not visible in the pinned view when the description is pinned to a vieew. It is only visible when the description pop up is open so users will not know that there is an attachment. Text added or links added are visible in a pinned view but not attachments.

If I group tasks by assignee for example, I'd like to group the tasks for each assignee by list to get a better overview. We have a lot of tasks with same/similar name on multiple lists and it's difficult to distinguish them. (We could apply the setting to show breadcrumbs, but that's not optimal for us).

I need ClickUp to have the ability to duplicate a task when it's assigned to a team. For ex., I have a task that I need to send to the entire company, I need the ability to assign a team to it and then the task duplicates itself automatically per the amount of people in that team, and each duplicated task gets an assignee from that team. Asana has this feature. I've used it a million times. When you're a manager or in Ops like I am, it's incredibly helpful to just click a button and have that task that you create once, just automatically duplicate and assign it self. Right now I work with a small team, but can't imagine doing this with a bigger team like a had when I was using Asana. Would be great to add a pin icon next to each task, allowing you pin the task to the top of the list, regardless of the "Group By" selection/order. If there are multiple pinned tasks, they should be able to be manually re-ordered at the top of the list.

As a Product Owner, prioritizing tasks is crucial. Working on a list and identifying whether an item is deprioritized or not makes the "Move to Bottom" and "Move to Top" buttons very handy. Support has mentioned this was removed from 2.0, it would be nice to revive this feature. Cheers! Jops

Have the ability to have one list shared in multiple spaces. The same concept as shared tasks, but for the entire list.

On the lists, the column text cannot be wrapped.This should be a nice addition and more easy to read and comprehend
