The new inbox doesn't show the parent task name on the main view (important/other) when a notification is for a subtask. (Old notifications did.) You can get to it by clicking into the notification, but it would be preferred to have that at-a-glance insight. We often put the client name on the parent task and don't put it on the subtasks to avoid redundancy. (Also because of template limitations.) So a person can be assigned several tasks named the same thing. It would be really nice to be able to see parent task name in the main view.

The current Inbox interaction is inconsistent and unnecessarily confusing. When a notification is selected, its content may expand inline within the notification list. If the notification relates to a task, the task can also open in a panel on the right. In some cases—such as a Chat mention—the same information is effectively displayed both inline and in the right-hand panel. This creates two problems: It is not always clear where the notification’s relevant content will appear. Displaying the content inline and in the right-hand panel is often redundant and uses valuable screen space. Suggested improvement Adopt a consistent two-pane layout: Left pane: Keep notifications as a stable, compact list. Right pane: Display the context and details of the selected notification. The right pane should open directly to the relevant location—for example: The applicable task comment or task activity thread The relevant Chat thread The comment, mention, assignment or status change that triggered the notification This would make Inbox review faster and more predictable. Users could move through notifications from a stable list on the left while viewing and responding to each item in a consistent location on the right. Ideally, inline expansion could either be removed or retained as an optional user preference. The key improvement is that selecting a notification should produce one clear, consistent detail view rather than varying between inline expansion, a right-hand panel, or both.

Can the default notification settings be controlled by an administrator? The current default settings for a user, are to broad for our goal. If the user upon initial start of use, gets too many notifications, they will just go into the settings, and have the urge to turn all off. (Or they use a mail rule, to turn them over to an bulk folder) Please make it so we can set a different standard per Team

When I right-click a notification in my Inbox and select "Add to," the only destinations available are Personal List and Priorities. I manage my work from a separate To-do list (Board view) and need to route inbox items there. Please allow us to choose any list in our workspace as the destination, similar to how "Add to List" works from inside a task.

Deleting a notification in Inbox after it appears elsewhere (push, open from hand) is a great optimization of already read notifications. This would make it easier to manage notifications and reduce the number of repetitive interactions. I work simultaneously with notifications on the desktop and Inbox in ClickUp. I noticed that when I open a new message with a desktop notification, the same notification still remains in the Inbox. In addition, the same situation should be at the moment when I enter a given task (not by notification, but directly) - if I see a given comment and react to it somehow, then I no longer need this information in Inbox.

Can you please add an option to turn off the emails that come every time I log in to my account? I routinely switch back and forth between a personal account and an admin account and every time I get an email that says "new login" and it's very annoying!

I don't often check my notifications, so it would be great to have a settings allowing for notifications to be automatically deleted for tasks that I have marked as completed. I'd still like to have a notification if someone else has marked the task as completed.

At the moment, Tasks assigned to me is set as a default for the ClicKUp Inbox notification. This can be incredibly annoying when you don't need to see this. Can we please have an option to turn this off?

Hi. Not sure if this is a bug or feature request, but when viewing the Notifications tab, along with open tasks (or tasks with non-closed status), tasks with Closed status are listed too. The Reminder Bell can be cleared manually, but I would expect this happened automatically when the task is closed and not having to do it manually. Thanks.

It would be great to get some more filter options, to only see Activity and Messages from certain areas or Tasks. E.g., Location filter, or a filter by notifications where the Task has a certain Custom Field.
