Feature Requests

We have folders which are visible across the organisation (300+ people); but we do not want the chat channel to inherit those permissions and want the ability to modify those in the channel (without impacting the permissions on the folder). We are a technical consultancy Avoid pain point: we do not want the entire organisation to be pinged with chats on this channel; and also for project teams to be able to communicate freely without the whole organisation with access to view. Is this on the roadmap pls?

Allow one to send a message as "silent" which does not notify the other person with a sound. This is great for use cases where you want to message someone, but it really does not matter that they reply directly. Discord implements this by prefixing a message with "@silent". Messages sent that way should have a small icon indicating that they were sent "silent".

All the chat apps do this. Slack does it. I am so frustrated that it is not easy for me to collectively look at all the channels, DMs and group I was mentioned in.

It'd be great to have a read receipt or icon to let users know when a chat message has been read.

An icon witch shows whether someone has seen my message or not yet would be helpful.

Please allow us to search gifs in ClickUp chat without just pre-selecting the gif for us. Often times it is not the /giphy that people want to send. This is one huge reason why we have clients that prefer Slack over ClickUp chat. This would be a huge selling point for a lot of businesses who use /giphy as a form of communication.

It would be great if animated emojis could be added. Our team loves them. We're migrating from Skype where they use them all the time. Keeps things happy.

I think it would be very useful to include the ability to pin certain messages in channel chat. This would make them stand out in the chat. This would be useful for messages with chat rules or training videos, for example.

its better when you mention task on chat channel to show just the tasks on a specific list that you assigned on that channel. because when i try to mention a task it will recommend all the task with the same name across our workspace.

I would like to have the ability to pin posts that I have created to give an organized way for my employees to see posts that have been made and require their review.
