While there's a download icon in ClickUp Chat, clicking it opens a preview instead of directly downloading the file. This is frustrating for document-centric teams and adds unnecessary steps.

Slack allows seamless copy-pasting of files directly from desktop into chats. In ClickUp, this feature is not supported, which slows down our workflow and creates friction when sharing files frequently.

It's quite surprising that anyone can delete messages at any time, even after a month. This approach feels unprofessional and could potentially allow individuals to mislead the team. We recommend restricting message deletion access to admins only. Additionally, deleted messages should display a notice such as "1 item deleted" to maintain transparency.

Previously, while using Slack, we benefited from the "Jump to" option that allowed us to quickly navigate to messages from a specific date. Currently, ClickUp does not offer this functionality. Introducing a similar feature in ClickUp would greatly enhance the collaboration experience.

It'd be great to have a read receipt or icon to let users know when a chat message has been read.

We are required to upload every file, as copying and pasting from outside ClickUp doesn’t work properly. For example, when I copy a file from my desktop and try to paste it into ClickUp, it doesn’t function. Even when I prepare a table in Excel and try to paste just a few cells, the formatting becomes distorted and hard to read. This is a major inconvenience in our daily workflow and needs to be resolved urgently.

I’d like to request a feature that automatically removes a user from all chat channels when they are removed from the workspace. Currently, when a user is removed from the workspace, they lose access to workspace content, but their presence remains in chat channels, which can cause confusion for other members. Why this is important: 1) Ensures participant lists in chat channels are always accurate and up to date. 2) Reduces manual admin work to clean up channels after user removal. 3) Improves clarity and security for teams managing sensitive information. Suggested functionality: 1) When a user is removed from the workspace, they should also be automatically removed from all chat channels and group DMs they were part of. This would help keep our workspace organized and secure. Thank you for considering this improvement!

When using Chat and searching for an message with Ctrl+F you can find a specific message, but you can´t go to the specific place in chat, where it was written. We would like the oprion to "go to message" and see the moment, where this specific thing was discussed to read the descussion.

Kindly consider implementing the feature to pin messages in the chat.

As an enhancement to the new Chat functionality, it would be great to be able to move a message in a Chat from one Chat to another Chat. For example, someone posts a message in the wrong place. It would be nice to move it. In situations where more than one locationless Chat for the same topic exists, it would be great if there were a way to merge the two Chats together.
