Feature Requests

Good day, I'd like to suggest/request a feature where one can select message responses/threads to be either collapsed, as it currently is, where one needs to click on the responses link below that message thread to open it to the side and view - or , the new feature that would give you the option to have it already opened below that message with some spacing to indicate it's a messgae thread/responses that's followed there. Some individuals might have to view these responses multiple times a day and having to open them every single time is quite a bit of time and effort. Sometimes one only wants to scan and remember what the discussion was about without having to completely open it. A hover function to hover over the message and get some preview of the first few messages could also be very useful. Appreciated

There is no way to see if a Folder or Space has a Chat attached before deleting it, even as Admin. This makes accidental deletion of active chats possible. Would love to have a option before deleting a folder/space that a chat is connected do you want to delete that too? or some advance settings showing all views before deleting and confirming. There is no way to view all Chat Views or channels across the workspace even as Admin permissions - Makes it harder to keep track of all chats happening. Team member can make a chat which is not required when 1 thread is open. Need better filtering for this.

Dear ClickUp Team, We are requesting the implementation of Read Receipts in the ClickUp Chat channels (both direct messages and group channels). This feature is crucial for effective team communication and workflow visibility for the following reasons: Accountability and Confirmation: When sending important or time-sensitive messages to a team channel, it is often critical to know that the team members have actually seen the communication. Without read receipts, we are left wondering who has received the information and who hasn't. Reduces Unnecessary Follow-ups: Currently, the lack of confirmation leads to time-consuming, unnecessary follow-up messages just to ask, "Did you see my message?" Read receipts would eliminate this friction and allow the team to focus on the work itself. Improved Team Trust and Clarity: Knowing when a message was read and by whom (a list of users who have read the message) provides clear visibility and ensures everyone is on the same page regarding important announcements, updates, or decisions. Suggestion: We propose a simple visual indicator (like a double checkmark or a "Seen by" link) that shows: The time the message was read. A list of team members in the channel who have read the message. This is a standard feature in many modern communication platforms (Slack, Teams, etc.) and its addition would significantly enhance the usability of ClickUp Chat as a reliable communication hub for our team. As it currently stands, the Chats only support replying in Threads or simply typing a response. This can get clunky. I'd prefer to be able to reply to a message in the same chat as you do in Google Chats or Discord, etc. :)

When using Chat and searching for an message with Ctrl+F you can find a specific message, but you can´t go to the specific place in chat, where it was written. We would like the oprion to "go to message" and see the moment, where this specific thing was discussed to read the descussion.

It'd be great to have a read receipt or icon to let users know when a chat message has been read.

Hi, Would be great if you can add reactions_count field to the Get Channel Messages response object (similar to reply_count ) so users don't need to do Retrieve Reactions API call for messages without any reactions

Dedicated app for Clickup chat. The most common feedback from my team in trying to implement Clickup chat as our primary chat app is that it's nice to have a separate application window that is dedicated to chat.

At the moment chat channels can be organized in section to have a better overview between channels. This is only a personal view and users have to organize this themselves. A way to set this for all the users in the workspace would be very helpful.

At the moment, to see different chat replies/messages and comments etc, I have to go into each workspace and check the inbox which is meaning that messages are being missed (even though all are coming to email - they are delayed). It would be great if your personal Home/notification centre overlapped everything from ALL workspaces that you are a part of so that there is one place to keep track of all notifications and messages.
