Threaded replies UI should have better visibility
Chris Bennett
The UI makes it hard to see if there is a reply in threads/emails in ClickUp. My team have a large number of tasks to work with, and at a glance it can often look like no reply has been made. Suggestion is to simply make the "Replies" UI section larger and easier to scan.

Reddit does threading passably well. The little line helps keep things corraled better than just naked indentation.
But in the end, we've just disabled threaded comments and used the "quote" feature because too many comments were being missed, and keeping things flat drive better discussion.

Thank you for posting this. I'm new at cu ClickUp and working on all things communication on the product side. I marked this for comment improvements for the future.
What would the ideal product behavior be for you?

Philipp Berner The goal is to not miss any replies which are threaded. One of the main reasons for this is the lack of prominent indicator to make users aware of threaded replies. I agree with a previous post suggesting a toggle on/off which would display all threaded comment replies in the main comment window underneath the parent comment. This should be set at BOTH the workspace and user level.
In addition to a prominent indicate, I would also suggest a sidebar tray, much like Slack, which opens while threaded replies are being viewed.
There also seems to be confusion when it comes to sort order. In some views, the newest comment is at the top, in other views the newest comment is at the bottom. This results in our users getting lost and super frustrated.
Finally, because of these shortcomings, if companies decide they don't want to use threaded replies at all, the current functionality would result in them losing all of those threaded replies if they turn the feature off.
That is not acceptable.
All existing threaded replies should simply be merged into the main comment thread in the event threaded comments are disabled for the workspace.

Is this the same issue as described here: https://feedback.clickup.com/feature-requests/p/threaded-comments-expanded-by-default ?
If so, might be worth merging / upvoting the other one which has 500+ votes

Have a toggle on/off to show all threaded comment replies, so you don't have to click into each comment thread to see replies. Currently it's easy to miss a comment which is a reply unless you're manually clicking to show each thread's replies. Please make it possible to show/hide the replies for all threads on a task.

I think this is perhaps the biggest UX issue on CU, atm. Every user in our company complains how easy it is to miss new replies. It should be pretty easy to fix too.
Various requests about expanding replies by default to try and combat this:
