Philipp Berner duplicating a task is quite different to using a template.

Philipp Berner you have this feature in the GUI. Can't be such a challenge to put it in the API. Already waiting 5 years for that.

Philipp Berner We create and use a new list for each new client project we work on.

I set up a list template set up with views pre-configured, dummy tasks set up with descriptions, time estimates, etc... Our current workflow is to use this to build-out the new client project once a sale is completed.

We're doing this manually but if there was a "Create List from Template" or "Duplicate list" functionality available via the API I could automate at least part of the project setup task.

Philipp Berner I second to what Justin Raine said. I have a "Catalog" Space with my services separated by folders. Those folders have different lists with different views and different visible columns, etc. They are basically prepared for new projects, but we need to duplicate those service folders manually at the moment.

Here are some functions that would solve the problem in preferred order:

Philipp Berner if we get to duplicate folders with for example Make or Zapier, then we can trigger the automation by a form submission with client details that will require just a couple steps/modules. Right now we have a massive automation process, divided in several 'automations' just to accomplish: creating a folder, creating lists inside the folder, creating tasks within each list, assigning people and due dates, updating custom fields, etc. In our case, we need 7-10 lists per folder, and each list can have 30 different task, with multiple subtasks. We have template folders, template lists and tasks but this can't be duplicated in Make or Zapier, not all of the mentioned options. Instead, we'd like to duplicate a template folder that has everything we need inside and just map the tasks that will require due date updates.
