Make search easier to access on mobile
planned
Kevin Hennessy
It would be great to have the search function immediately available/visible on the mobile app.

Also, Search should stay open in case the first listed find isn’t the search you are looking for. I have to re enter the search word each time the incorrect task I’m looking for is opened.

Sue Walker: I think a "redo last search" button would be better.
Otherwise you would have to either delete the last entered search term each time you want to do a new search (if that term is still in the search box), or recently-accessed items won't be a feature anymore, which is a key useful way in which search works.

I add to all the other comments that the search function doesn't work at all on mobile.
For example, if I enter a letter, it just doesn't find anything that would be relevant with any of the tasks starting with such a letter:
Typing the letter 'M' should pull up all tasks beginning with the letter 'M' as it does on computer.
Please fix this so that not only office operators can use ClickUp efficiently but also Field operators!

For me, it's just a case of being able to access the sidebar from any screen - no matter if you are in nested subtasks or wherever else. Then we could access search from anywhere, too.
This also comes with the added benefit of being able to navigate anywhere else without having to back out of 7 potential layers of nested subtasks, as you can just navigate from the sidebar.

Thanks for the suggestion, we are building something right now that should help with this!
