Hi there!
Exciting news!
We're launching a community effort to localize our app into Polish!
Are you willing to take part in this initiative and lend us a helping hand in making ClickUp even more awesome and accessible?
Leave your details here and we will reach out!
Jacek Klimczak
Leave WorkSpace and Space in English. Everyone is already used to it anyway, and once you understand how CU works, these names become absolutely natural.
One more dear note: when migrating from Asana, their "sections" migrated to the level of "lists" in CU. And "projects" to "space" in CU - maybe is worth taking into account, because Asana is very popular in PL, but of course not without flaws and some people will look for an alternative, and this would be an additional argument for migration, because it is intuitive - just saying ;)

Great news :)

Workspace = przestrzeń robocza, space = obszar
Krzysztof Baran
Leave workspace in English. It is fully recognizable in Poland. Space ='sekcja'
GROW!
Krzysztof Baran: jest za, "przestrzeń robocza" - mam nadzieje, że to nie przejdzie :-)
Jakub
Workspace = Przestrzeń robocza
Space = Przestrzeń

Paulina Makles: workspace - przestrzeń robocza, space - obszar. Taking consideration the functionality of those words in ClickUp

Workspace = Przestrzeń robocza
Space = Przestrzeń

Paulina Makles: Do not translate Workspace to Polish, because it will be two long words. Some words better is to leave English.

Paulina Makles: Biuro / Pokój but i don’t know the context.

Paulina Makles: Workspace = Przestrzeń , Space = Sekcja.
New workspace = Nowa przestrzeń, New Space = Nowa sekcja
or safe original names in English :)

Paulina Makles: The literal translations would be:
Workspace = Przestrzeń robocza
Space = Przestrzeń
But taking into consideration the functionalities I would put it like this:
Workspace = Obszar roboczy
Space = Sekcja

Paulina Makles: Workspace = Obszar
Space = Strefa

Paulina Makles: Obszar Roboczy / Sekcja

Paulina Makles:
I generally agree with Workspace = Przestrzeń and Space = Obszar.
However, if you want shorter words you may consider:
Workspace = Obszar (english: area,range)
Space = Sekcja (english: section)
That's like you were a farmer owning a range/area of land divided into sections.
Paweł Rudner
Paulina Makles: I wish I had a bit more context to it - I honestly don't really understand why Workspace / Space were chosen in the first place. Can anyone clarify? I mean, I get it, there's need for one thing containing the other, but if you asked me in a random context, I would say Workspace is a subcategory of Space, not the other way around.
Taking it further, I would opt to translate it accordingly:
Workspace - Przestrzeń Robocza
Space - Obszar
mainly because Przestrzeń could be either finite or infinite, while Obszar is clearly finite, thus one intuitively contains the other.
And I wouldn't mind having a one-word to two-word translation in this particular case, since Space is used much more often in ClickUp.
Andrzej Ciesielski
Paulina Makles: In the UI it fits best to give Space -> Pokój and later we have the action Nowy pokój. Rooms are in chat rooms, in forums, it is a frequently used word.
In that case, Workspace can have a completely different name. I will give a different one than the previous Workspace -> Pracownia
Both words are physical objects and the Pracownia (Studio/Worhshop/Atelier/Office) can include Pokoje (rooms).

Paulina Makles: Paulina, none of your proposals are good, they are literally correct but not good in the context of ClickUp. This is kind of automatic nonsense translation - listen to us here, always remind that this is translation for ClickUp app (not general translation) and take others suggestions:
Workspace - Workspace (leave this in English)
Space - Sekcja

Paulina Makles: Dzień dobry,
Z mojej strony dwie propozycje:
Workspace- Pracownia/Warsztat.
Space- Stolik.
Workspace- Praca
Space- Obszar/ miejsce.
Z poważaniem,
Michał Nowak

Paulina Makles: Workspace = "Przestrzeń robocza", unfortunately there is no shorter form with this meaning.
M1 Kowalski Tomasz <ZMK>|K70||PZ30|
Paulina Makles: Workspace = Przestrzeń, Space = Obszar . I like the idea from Paweł, that 'Przestrzeń' could be infinite, while 'Obszar' is finite. Obszar (Space) is a part of Przestrzeń (Workspace).

Paulina Makles: none of them makes sense in Polish
Workspace = Przestrzeń robocza or just Przestrzeń
Space = Sekcja
