Project/List/Task Links

Could we get single web links associated with each item where we could click on them in the various views?
Many of my lists and tasks will be linked to a site/project in an online database with each site/project having its own webpage.
It would be nice and efficient if I could set the link when I create a task then click on that link from the list view. Currently, I put the link in the description, but one less click is always greatly appreciated.

We think this is already achievable as you can copy link for Folders, Lists and Tasks!

Waleed Elaghil: Waleed, thanks for addressing this. But what this post is about is being able to @mention those entities in ClickUp with the same capability of Docs and Tasks, that is:
- They unfurl and you can see their info - Name, etc. With Lists this might include color until the get their own Status:
- Have a drop down showing you options when you hit the "@" key. This could be after "@@" or "@@@", however you guys wanted to do that.
It sounds like you are simply saying that you can paste in a URL of a folder or list into a task and have a "link." But that is stating the obvious.
Until you guys allow this, you are behind Coda, Notion, even Asana and Wrike, which can both display multiple types of entities after the "@" for selection, and then unfurl them. I really hope you plan to implement this.
Thanks and hope that's helpful!

Hey John Jones! Thank you for pointing this out. I'll surface this to the team 🙂

Waleed Elaghil: Is there any update about this? I have another problem with a missing feature in Clickup (recurring tasks to be edited without affecting all the others) and was trying to find a way to work around this with a homemade solution but found another problem here... You guys offer so many amazing things but they are so useless if basic features are missing!!

Hey Jennifer Touret! Thank your for your feedback. Since this is a new idea, I suggest you create a new feature request in Canny so we can easily monitor the community's thoughts around it and prioritize it in our pipeline 🙂

For any of you finding this request, please come support further unification of Lists ("Projects") with task functionality like being able to link to a List, or Custom ID's for Lists:
Thanks!

This would be great if you can filter or choose type, for example:
Linked Zendesk Ticket
Linked Docs
Linked Tasks
as columns

Looking forward to being able to click on links directly from the Kanban board when a link exists in the task's title

Hi, I'd also like to suggest these links became available under the "##" keyboard shortcut in task descriptions and comments. Frequently I'd like to reference actual projects or links in my tasks, which I sometimes use to run meetings per your suggestion here:
I often need to link to lists, which I use as Epics, to refer the meeting attendees to some aspect of those lists.
Many thanks and looking forward to the update!

I would include Favorites in this list requested links as well

Looking forward to try it! For me it's more about collecting all the info, subtasks and files in the same ticket so IT, production and marketing departments can work on the same projects. Also time estimation, due date and time tracking is better for report if I keep it in the same.
We always put the business case in the description box so everyone knows the goal!
The issue would be if one department marked the project as "done" how would that look for the the other departments?

I have a task by the same name that shows up under 2 projects. For instance Project A > Monthly > Task A and Project B > Daily > Task A. Is there a way to get the task that shows up on my calendar to have the title "Task A - Monthly" and "Task A - Daily" versus just "Task A" twice ?

My preference be for this to work like attachments - so all documents and external links are in the same place
