Permissions on Document Pages
Ruth Barrow
I would like to have different permissions for different pages of a document, e.g. I only want my admin assistance to see certain pages

DOC Different Permissions per Page
Adriano de Souza
I use DOCs a lot to record meeting minutes for different businesses.
I would like to be able to assign different editing permissions per page.
For example:
For the entire document, I would like to assign everyone viewing permission.
And for some pages, I would like to grant editing permission to specific people.

Different permissions for individual pages or subpages within the same Doc
Selinda Geyer
The ability to adjust permissions for specific users on individual pages or subpages is not currently supported in ClickUp. Permissions are managed at the Doc level, and all pages within a Doc inherit the same sharing and permission settings. This means I cannot set different permissions for individual pages or subpages within the same Doc.

I've once again run into this wall, and have to create an olympic level gymnastic workaround without this feature.

Allow Sharing Permissions at the Page Level in ClickUp Docs
Peter Atkinson
Currently, sharing permissions in ClickUp Docs are only available at the document level, not at the individual page level. This limitation means that when sharing a specific page, the recipient gains access to the entire document, including other pages that may contain sensitive or unrelated information. This setup can lead to privacy issues and inefficiencies in organizing documentation.
Request:
I propose implementing page-level sharing permissions within Docs to enable users to share individual pages or subpages without granting access to the entire document. This feature would improve control over shared content and make it easier to manage permissions for different audiences, similar to what platforms like Confluence and Notion offer. Adding this feature would allow for a more granular approach to documentation management and make ClickUp more suitable for company wikis, project documentation, and internal knowledge bases.
Impact:
Increases privacy and control over shared content.
Reduces the need to create multiple separate documents for different audiences.
Improves documentation organization and workflow efficiency.
Related Feedback:
Several users have expressed similar frustrations over the past few years, highlighting the need for page-level sharing options. The lack of this feature has even led some to use alternative tools for document management. Adding this capability would significantly enhance ClickUp's value as a comprehensive work management platform.

Hi! This is an issue that my team colleagues and I have also raised to ClickUp! I'm glad to see others are having the same problem. In my suggestion to ClickUp, and echoing others who have already posted here, this helps declutter space as well. We use the Doc for SOPs or Email Templates. Both of which should be accessible to the entire team, but only certain people can edit. I strongly encourage this feature to be prioritized as a "need" rather than a "want"

UX expectations would be for docs to behave the same way spaces, folders, lists do

Allow Pages of documents to be private

For example, I have created a Knowledge Base - but there are certain pages of it that I would like to be private and only certain people to see

Private Sub Pages in Docs

We should really have the ability to make certain sub-pages inside docs private! It's silly that I have to create an entirely new document.
Perhaps if ClickUp had a better folder structure like Google Drive, but for now we primarily use Sub-Pages in docs to organize similar docs.
For instance, Standard Operating Procedures all go into one document.
But sometimes there is a specific SOP that should be kept private from everyone except the management team.
In order to do that I have to create a completely new document instead of keeping things organized in the primary SOP docs.

Sharing permissions for subpages
Jackson James
Provide the ability to remove/add team members/clients to subpages of docs.
Currently, we have to share the entire document with someone which means we have to have separate documents. This gets very messy and is hard to manage for a team.
It would be great to be able to consolidate multiple documents into one and only share the relevant subpages with particular people.

Private SubPages

Would be so helpful to be able to make subpages within docs private! We use a doc as our handbook and there are certain subpages that I would want only certain people to have access to, rather than having to create a whole separate doc!
