Docs like Roam Research
Dean Phillips
It would be awesome to get some features in docs that are similar to Roam Research - I think anyone who does things outside of wikis would love these.

Im seriously considering switching away from clickup because it doesn't have proper bidirectional links on documents (on a block level).

I was just about to make a post to include this. I'm currently making a second brain in ClickUp using Tiago Forte's PARA method, but bidirectional linking would take this to the next level.
And actually, tasks themselves, because of how powerful they are, are an even better use case for this.

The more I use roam, the more I'm loving it. Can't imagine how powerful ClickUp would be with the sidebar too. That's changing how I'm putting together articles, rapidly. It's brilliant.

Dean Phillips: Dean, me too ditched Evernote for Roam in Jan. But been dreaming about these capabilities here in ClickUp to solve issues I have with meeting notes, tracking decisions, feedback conversion to features, you name it. Really hoping to get Block References into mentions as a first step as ClickUp already has the reciprocal references in production!
Cheers!

By the way Dean Phillips, voted for this a while ago but wanted to just add the comment that this is a great request, hoping we can continue to move it along.
I think we talked about this, but I broke out the "mentions in references" feature here:
Hoping that could come to fruition, because we already have this "partially" in ClickUp. For example, when an external link is added in a task, you see the info on who put the link in, and when...getting there!
