Docs Hot Linking (the same way tasks can be tagged - by typing ##)
completed

Would like to be able to reference a documents by typing ## and searching for and selecting document title to place the cross reference within the doc.
This would help with writing SOP so that related SOPs could be referenced.

Ivan Villa: This is great! At least it sounds great. However, in its current form this is quite frustrating to use in practice. When I highlight text in a document and create a task from it then the selected text disappears! That task is replaced by a very shortened task name with an arbitrary identifier that is not descriptive. Please make this more useable and user friendly so that I can still read the original text. For example, it could look similar to a standard hyperlink (e.g., underlined blue text) with the status icon signifying that it is a link to a task. Perhaps the simple solution is to just not limit the link to be 20 characters. For some reason, when I create a task this also creates 3 links. See attached image

In agreement with this comment.

We experienced more repeated task links. In this case, there seemed to be some sort of infinite recursion that resulted in the task being replicated about a hundred times before we were able to close the window. We also saw this on multiple computers as two of us were editing the document at the same time. This was in a table as shown in the attached screenshot. As can be seen in the screenshot, this also resulted in adding multiple columns to the table (it had 3 columns before the bug started). The task links also moved one column to the left (links should be in 'Task Link' column.

Left a request for Task/Item Shortcuts, then saw this related post. Here's the request to offer Shortcut items, similar to how Windows has document & folder Shortcuts.
OK
Also a way to see which tasks are linked to a Doc when in the Doc view (or without having to go through each individual task).

Hopefully when this gets added we can also add a custom field type "Docs" just like we have a custom field type "Tasks"

Feature request https://clickup.canny.io/20/p/docs-anchors-linking-to-doc-anchors is related and would compound the benefit in many use cases.

Yes, great, and importantly that the doc picked up this link, similar to how you guys now have tasks link back to each other when one is mentioned in another's description.
I have posted already re: it would be great to have an area in the task, and also in a doc, where the referenced other tasks/docs are shown separate.
This is one of things I think Jira actually handles well, I attach an image. There is info on status of the linked task, with a relationship "duplicates" which I'd love to see you guys implement, and relation to a doc as well.
If you guys could build it similar to this it would be great.
Very glad to see this is planned!
