When I view "My Work" on my Home screen, it makes more sense to me that if any of my tasks are on the Overdue list that they should appear before the Today list to show the proper sense of urgency. I want to take of my overdue tasks before anything else. If I have enough items in my Today list, I won't even see the Overdue list until I start checking off some of my Today tasks.
Either having the ability to reorder the My Work lists or even if it is just another toggle option in Preferences, I would like to see Overdue listed first on my screen.

NEW** Modernized Dashboard

I feel that the side panel can be a bit crowded and overwhelming sometimes, with a cleaner interface option, it seems this would perform a lot better for our team. Clickup is more advanced than a competitor I found, so I'm sticking with Clickup. HOWEVER - I would love if Clickup added on to the Glassmorphism trend and a user dashboard for each employee to view their current tasks, tasks coming due, and be able to customize their personable dashboard. I've included a screenshot below so you can see a great idea to improve the Clickup experience and surpass your competitors.

Hey Zach . New Home from LevelUp looks good so far.
I had a few thoughts for the Home screen after watching.
- One thing that comes to mind is that I would also like to be able to see "My Focus" tasks from multiple projects separately from each other.
Right now, it looks like they would have to go on the same list - "My Focus". But I would really like them to be on separate lists that I can name myself.
So I could have a "My Focus - Project 1" card, a "My Focus - Project 2" card, a "My Focus - Project 3" card, etc. (And also be able to name them what I want.)
That way, I can keep track of/see certain items from different projects on the home screen and keep them separate in my mind.
I work with projects that are wildly different from each other, so seeing them in the same list is not useful for keeping the mind clutter-free and focused.
- One other thing is it would be great to be able to add Folders and Views to "My Focus".
This because sometimes an entire Project is my focus, not a particular task. So being able to keep it top-of-mind and easily accessible would be great.
The new "Overview" page shown in LevelUp would be a good candidate to be able to go in to this "My Focus" area.
- Lastly, it would be great to be able to customize what is shown on the agenda - so which tasks are pulled in from which locations - and preferably be able to have multiple agenda cards.
The reason for this is I really want to have a generic Timetable of my day shown (akin to a school timetable), which just gives me high-level topics to work on between particular times, but not particular tasks. So between 1-3 I work on area A, between 3-5 I work on area B, etc.
But then also have another card for actual items that are happening today at a particular time.

I think it would be super cool to have a welcome dashboard for each team member like this and be able to show the team what they should be working on for the day and and also improve the kanban feature. More customization, a more personable experience.

Lily Martinez: Thanks for the mention here! Just dug into that tool pretty heavily and found some great ideas!

To quote myself from below, but still 100% valid:
You can't fit everyone's needs, so instead of anticipating too much, please make
Home a flexible Dashboard (or better multiple with tabs, e.g. per team or topic) and a clever defaults.
You can't fit everyone's needs, but you can provide the tools for the user to build / customize it. That's what ClickUp is great at with its flexible structure.
Home currently is too oppinionated and inflexible, change that by improving Dashboards, Dashboard Widgets, Dashboard Templates and Dashboards filters and use that for Home.
Don't reinvent the wheel. It costs more time and confuses users. Otherwise the next question at Canny will be, "why can't I use Dashboard widget X on Home" or vice versa... One clever, flexible solution, that's the ClickUp way :)
Build better and more flexible dashboard widgets and improve dashboards. Allow multiple dashboard tabs as home and make people happy
and
flexible :)(and save a lot of developer time for other tasks) ;)
Zach
Julian Pustkuchen: Thanks Julian, this is a great note and definitely something we're talking about as a team!

I couple of things:
I have never needed my subtasks to carry the same status as the parent task. I would really love to be able to just mark them as done instead of having to open the list of parent statuses to select complete. Can you make subtasks NOT adopt the parent statuses?
Also, I would love the ability to be able to add tags from the home screen without having to open the task.
I love how you can hover over the task description icon to be able to quickly see the description content, but I would also love the ability to be able to update those notes without having to open the task.

It would be very helpful to be able to quickly create tasks in some sort of inbox and then be able to decide what folder they go in later. Sometimes, I need to be able to quickly add tasks and add notes, etc which I can't do with the reminders function. I love the simplicity of reminders, but sometimes I need more than that on that go but don't want to have to make a decisions about task locations, etc which trying to just offload what's in my head.

Would be cool to hide Home completely and give the user an ability to decide where Clickup loads once opened. Example: After opening the app, the user ends in the sprint task list.

As we tackle the next iteration of Home, customization is something we're constantly thinking about. Here's some of the things we have in mind, but let me know if there's anything critical missing:
- Ability to hide widgets you don't want to see
- Ability to add new widgets (from some sort of library)
- Drag & Drop widgets around to however you like
- Resize widgets to how you like
- Change some of the visuals (like the background)
There are many cool features we'd like to add, but we're going to start small and work our way up!
Justin Xin
Zach: Please focus on the 'productivity' side of things, we really wish that the Home screen isn't something we just constantly skip because it's filled with tasks from all over without any organization. It needs to focus on 'what needs to be done next' more.
Erik
Zach:
Home is an aspect of ClickUp that I do not use regularly. Because I focus on certain activities during the day, I use My Favorites most often to jump into the room. My work is mostly dependent on appointments, which give me an indication of the space I need. I also use the great search to jump directly into a task for clients or even tasks with colleagues. So I can relate to Justin Xin: Not the visual aspects are most important (colour of the background etc), because I would suffer from the need to optimise such things. Less freedom is sometimes really useful.
So a big change for me and my relationship with Home would be if Home could somehow integrate with a Microsoft calendar. I know - the ecosystem sucks sometimes. But it is still the most important platform for me to organise mails, calendar, contacts and reminders (MS ToDo). The more complex stuff is moved to ClickUp later. Von meinem iPad gesendet
Keep up the amazing work. I love ClickUp so much because it fits so well into my life. Colleagues and even my wife use it every day.
Thank you very much and many greetings from Germany.

Zach: I'd like to see widget options for adding specific lists/views that already exist elsewhere. A useful home for me would be a place where I can view multiple lists in one place, alongside a calendar.
Atilla Vekony
Zach: Display the calendar in Month view, not just today or agenda view.
Nick Kadutskyi
Zach: I don't use Home at all because it can't answer the most important question:
What should I do now and what should I do next?
Due Date and Start Date doesn't tell When I want to work on a task.
To Do tab
Seeing tasks that due today isn't helpful because at this point I probably won't have enough time to work on them and they become overdue.
Seeing tasks that started before today or today is helpful sometimes but it clutters the view when I won't work on the task today.
Sometimes those tasks aren't really tasks in my case but I still see them in the view and there is no way to filter them out
Comments tab is helpful to keep track of what's happening, but at this point I just go to notifications for that.
Done tab isn't helpful because it shows some tasks from 2 years ago and even if I sort them in reversed order by Done date I still get tasks from several months ago and some of tasks aren't really tasks in my case.
Overall, I don't understand how to use Home page so that it's useful for me.
It would definitely be helpful to customize the view of the Home if it had useful widgets there.
The list of features you provided is basically describing Dashboards.
If you bring same widgets from dashboards it would be great to have same abilities in Home page.
Timothy J. Krupnik
Zach: Please allow sub-asks to be drop down in home. Also, please allow multiple trays and allow users to customize them. I manage hundreds of tasks daily and could benefit from this option
M
Marieke Burghoorn
Zach: A simple to do list linked to a list. These are not tasks yet because you can do them quite easily, but one should have the ability to convert them to a task
Johanna Pieterman
Zach: I too constantly skip the homepage because it's filled with stuff I don't want to see. I'd like this to be a clean space that I can fill with my daily to do's that I can link to a task but don't have to. That would be ideal. I absolutely love ClickUp to work with my team, but it's terrible as a daily personal planner. I need to use another tool for that which I would rather not.
Alistair Wilson
Justin Xin: exactly. We need task filters above everything else

Johanna Pieterman: Personal plus the business to-dos

Zach:
- I would like to customise what ClickUp shows under "Today", "Next" and "Overdue".
So this would include:-
* The ability to set filters, e.g., showing/not showing tasks that are from certain Spaces/Lists, showing tasks based on status, etc etc.
* Choose what classes as Next - how many days in advance, etc. At the moment, there doesn't seem to be a limit, but I might only want to see a week or two ahead on the Home screen.
* Choose what classes as Overdue for the sake of the home screen. So I can choose how many days overdue a task can be before it no longer shows on the Home screen.
* Choose if Start Date is included in the filters or only Due Date.
2. Goals. I really want to see Goals on the Home screen (once there is a better version of Goals).
3. As Goals currently is not great, I have my own set up using custom fields. So it would be great to be able to show certain tasks that have certain custom filters. So custom List views, I guess.
4. Improve LineUp. Like being able to group certain tasks in to categories.
5. I have certain areas I want to focus on that are separate from each other. So being able to segment the home screen to these different areas would be useful. Underneath them, I might want to pin certain tasks, or know what is next in each area, or what is overdue. So I want to be able to segment the home screen in to work areas. So maybe customisable sections that I can have be relevant to each individual area, then I have individual widgets under that. These widgets would be filtered based on Location. Kind of like the Location overview idea (https://feedback.clickup.com/feature-requests/p/location-overview-in-lists-folders-and-spaces)
6. On that note, expand the Home screen to each location, as per the feature request above.
7. Be able to set the calendar to day/week/month. Also filters for the calendar.
Rocio Carrera
Zach: It would be great to be able to see the calendar view for a whole week as an option instead of only the day view
R
Ralph Stokes
Zach: I think for me the biggest improvements would come with being able to filter/customise what tasks are displayed and how, and have a proper calendar view that displays day/week/month and can also display across weeks and months - for example from the middle of one month to the middle of the next. To be honest I couldn't care less about changing the visuals like the background - that will not make me more productive in any way shape or form!
Dawn Richardson
Justin Xin: 100% agree. I need to be able to fully filter like I could a list view so I can see what I need to see.
Natalie McClure
Zach: This is probably encompassed in what you listed, but if not, my team would love to have a board view for their tasks on Home! Right now we use a workaround by pulling individual views from "Everything", but it would be so much cleaner and easier to have team members be able to customize their own home space.
Ben Porter
Zach:
VERY IMPORTANT: Admins need to be able to set up a default Home view for the workspace (and preferably one for each role type), and set permissions as to which roles (members, guests, etc) can customize their Homepage.
When we invite customers the home view is overwhelming yet misses some information they need. We also want to put a help doc on their homepage for them.
Other Ideas:
To add a ton of customization at once, one of the widgets should be to pull in any view or doc from the workspace.
Add more customization options to the calendar sidebar. It lacks a lot of parity features compared to Calendar Views, and it's more buggy.
Allow Assigned Comments and Tasks to be shown in a single to-do list, or at least have a widget for each so they can both be visible. I usually forget to review my assigned comments because they're not always visible.
Elizabeth Bazan OOO until Monday
Zach: I'd love to see the ability to filter tasks in Home as well as display more information about tasks like some custom fields. I tend to skip home for an everything view that I've set up because I can organize it more easily. However, I do like using reminders, and those can only be seen in Home, so it would be great to have the same flexibility in Home. I don't usually use LineUp as I've found the task tray to serve the purpose of what's next better, so yes, widgets would be great as it would mean less space I don't use.
Jordan Creson

Zach:
*LineUp is a great idea, however it doesn't "wrap" around and often disappears off to the right.
*To make it more effective, I'd love to be able to have a LineUp for different timeframes, say by week and by day. Our team often has tasks that aren't scheduled for a specific time slot- but are generally planned for a certain day or week. I envision a function similar to how Google Tasks and MS To Do can be in my calendar as my "top three for today" or "most important" for the week, without blocking or marking me as busy.
*It would be great to have options to add a widget that would list my Favorites & Dashboards instead of in the side column. Especially for ones I DO want to open as a full Dashboard or View, instead of just adding more widgets to my Home page. For those of us with longer Sidebars, this would help with "I don't want to hide it- or I'll forget about it!"
*I'd like to have some kind of indicator or list of "Current Sprint(s)" just like the option in Favorites, but calling these out separately would be very helpful
CaLM
Zach: since you asked, I like to submit an option for external links (icons) to be added to the ClickUp homepage. That would make it more useful and efficient as command central for me (selfish - I know).
Just like my desktop, I bookmark links to popular sites and / or tools for my daily work. I think it might be helpful to others (as well) to have this functionality on the home page. Just my $0.02.

Thank you all very much. I'll be diving into all the feedback here!
Guy Mannerings
Zach Adding to the idea of being able to choose what classes as "Next" and "Overdue", I would definitely benefit from being able to have "Tomorrow", "In 2/3 days", "In the next 7 days", etc.
"Next" is so broad, and I feel I am missing seeing what is coming up tomorrow and in the next few days specifically, so they are highlighted clearly and so not missed.
T
Tyler Kazar
Alex Skatell: Yes! I have brought clickup to a number of organizations and have tasks assigned to me in each, but there is no way for me to see all of my tasks across all of my orgs, therefore no way to plan my entire day in one place.
