After starting Time Tracking timer, have ability to change start time
Taylor Earl
I often get into a task and forget to start my timer. After I start it, I'd like the ability to change the start time while it's on my mind. Currently I start and stop fast, then start again, and go edit the first entry.

I often forget to activate the tracker at the start of a meeting and then create that entry at the end of that meeting. What is frustrating about this is that when I create a time entry, the start and end times are set to the current time, which is great, I just need to change the start time and I would be done. But when I change the start time that automatically changes the end time to the same time as well, so then I need to change the end time back to what it was before.

Do this please, I migrated from toggl and this hurts.

More flexible options for editing/ starting tracked time

I often find myself in the middle of a task and realize I've forgotten to start tracking time, but there is no option to "start at (time)". I either have to wait until my task is complete and remember to go back and enter a range, or I have to enter a range for the time I've already worked and then start the timer. It would be nice if I could just enter a start time and track from there.

Ability to edit Start time of a running Timer

Ability to edit Start time of a running Timer (Like how ToggleTimer allows). So I can start it now, then click the start time and wind it back to X time when I actually started the Task, but forgot to start the Timer.

Cringing my teeth every day due to this :- /
The friction is so high and the solution would be so simply.
Does it really need 3 more years for this feature?

Agree with the other comments that Toggl handles this much better.

I notice the app has time tracking now, but I also find issue with this feature as I'm also unable to edit it like I am able to on Toggl whilst it's still running.

This would save so much time

I guess this should be seen in combination with https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/pause-timer ?

I agree, this is is such a basic feature that exists in all other timetracking tools I've used over the years. Hope it will be available in ClickUp soon.
