Need to be able to Copy text by selecting text and pressing Ctrl+C or right-click -> copy.

"Talk" isn't exactly what I was expecting, and I wonder if you can guide on this.
I can get it to create a Task using what I say, but I was expecting to be able to draft e-mails. Indeed, the welcome screen says we can draft e-mails.
E.g., I just said, "I need you to write an e-mail to XYZ about the following topic (blah blah blah), being sure to cover these things (XYZ)." But instead of structuring an e-mail, "Hi, name! I am just e-mailing about ABC", it simply transcribed my instruction back.
Guy Mannerings
Also, when I activated it using the shortcut key, I got the pop-out icon showing it was recording, but once I stopped it, there was no visual feedback that it had done anything.
I opened "Talk" and found it in "Talk to Text" history, but it would be good to get some visual feedback/prompt to this.
Guy Mannerings
I am also confused by "Talk to Text" vs "Talk" to do actions. In a way, what is the point of Talk to Text only, if it is pure dictation? As that exists in Windows and Mac natively.
I really just want it for things like taking a rambling message and turning it in to a cohesive e-mail, or taking random thoughts and creating a blog post, or doing ClickUp tasks, etc.
Sure, dictation is useful, but it seems to be that the focus is on that instead of performing actions or taking voice notes and making them in to whatever you want.
Guy Mannerings
Random one - you have an option to open links in Desktop app or Web... But I actually have ClickUp installed as a PWA in a dedicated Chrome install, because it's faster than browser-based, and more feature-rich than desktop.
Do you have any way to make it open in that PWA, or, failing that, choose the specific browser it opens in (e.g., open in Chrome (my dedicated CU install) instead of Edge (my daily web browser).

Does this require manual updates or is the installed application automatically gets its update automatically?
Ankit Mishra
Stephen John T. Carlos: the app updates automatically each time you launch it. That said, we’re also working on a “refresh to update” option, so you’ll be able to get the latest version even faster without needing to relaunch.

Ankit MishraThanks for the clarification. Another observations on my end as I am using a Windows Machine are the following:
- When I close the application and try to open it again it won't launch. I need to turn of the service in task manager and rerun to open it.
- Another observation, I couldn't do an upload of file from the local machine even if the file is less than 10mb.

Need a setting to turn off the floating icon over everything. Really don't want an icon over everything I am doing.
Ankit Mishra
Guy Mannerings: we need to improve the naming and make all Talk to Text settings easier to find in one place. That said, you can disable the persistent visibility of the dock, as shown in the screenshot.
Guy Mannerings
Ankit Mishra Oh shoot, sorry. I looked under the actual floating icon settings! Thanks!

QUEUE OF AI TASKS / APPROVAL PROCESS
There are two current problems with AI task creation in Brain Max and in general:-
1. There is no way to approve what it will do before it does it. You write/dictate the message, and it takes action... But it might get things wrong (location, dates, etc).
2. When doing voice to action, it would be useful to have a way to have it automatically start the process, without having to read the text back in the input box and hitting "go", first. It makes things slower having to read it, and that kind of takes away the point of using voice by being slower again.
That being said, checking what it is going to do (and giving the opportunity to edit it) before it does take an action is
very
important, as I would not want it to action something incorrectly, so want to check it manually first.SOLUTION
So a good option that keeps speed but allows manual checking of what it will do would be if it gave some visual feedback of what it was going to do - maybe a summary box of Task name, location, custom fields, etc.
Then you have to click to approve.
Then, taking that further, it would be great to be able to dictate (or type) multiple items (via multiple individual messages and/or all in one message), and it stack a queue of items for you to approve before it does them.
So there could be an "approvals" tab, where it gets ready to do tasks, but you click "go" or "edit" on them individually.
(This could also work with typing to get AI to do things.)

Guy Mannerings this is incredible feedback, thank you!
The idea where you can quickly scan and confirm before something gets actioned resonates a lot with the direction we’ve been exploring.
The approval queue concept is also very interesting, and we’ll take it into account as we keep improving the experience. Keep the ideas coming, this kind of input really helps us build better.
Really appreciate it!
Guy Mannerings
Ankit Mishra Great! Thanks! Glad you like it!
It allows you to both be fast, but also make sure it's going to do the right thing!
Guy Mannerings
Could you make it so that, if you create a Task or Doc or whatnot from a voice message, that it attaches the original voice message to the Task?
Preferably even links to it in the Task Description.
Maybe also add something telling you it was made by AI, like how there is with Agents. (Although the way that does that in the Task Name is not ideal as it makes Tasks names long and overwhelming to look at - maybe just an icon in the Task name is better, like a Robot icon, or ClickUp Brain icon).

Norton does not like one of the files and blocked it.

Dr. Bier: Thanks for the report. The most likely cause is that Norton does not know our app yet and is overly careful. I can assure you that it’s unwarranted in this case :)

In the screenshots https://clickup.com/brain/max I see DeepSeek. This is not available (yet) for me, is that correct?
Ankit Mishra
Ruud: Hey! Yes, you’re right - we had DeepSeek in earlier version, but removed it as it didn’t perform well enough. If you’re after strong reasoning models, Gemini 2.5 Pro and Claude Opus 4 are both excellent choices!

Ankit MishraThanks. Was just curious to try it. Was the quality of the response low, or was it technically not optimal? In the first case I would still consider to allow to add it, to leave that up tot he people using it.
The goal of this app is to bring 'all AI' together right? Or allow it to be manually enabled for a customer. Just an idea.
Other AI's on the list? Grok?
Ankit Mishra
Ruud It wasn’t so much about response quality, but more of a technical limitation at the time. We’re fully aligned on the vision of bringing all leading AI models into one place and giving users the flexibility to choose what works best for them.
We’ll continue expanding the list over time. Really appreciate your curiosity and suggestions!

Issues with brainwave it records what I am saying but does not respond. Also can no longer click on it and type if I wanted, which could possibly be nice if the voice was responding correctly. I could use it along side ClickUp as a voice assistant.
