currently been battling with an issue where random devices would loose internet connections, but certain things would randomly work for a few seconds e.g. teams would send a message or a web page would load.

so i decided to look into this, i could see in event viewer it was something to do tcpip unable to reserve ports.

i then waited for a device to loose connection and ran a netstat -b

and what i saw was that the Brain Max app was putting a large amount of ports into a close_wait state and any other program unable to take them.

Brain seems to be sending out that many requests that the second they come out of close_wait it would then take the ports again.

the second i closed brain max and some of the ports freed up everything kicked back in.
